Vidarbha Youth Welfare Society's Dental College, established in 1989, is one of the prestigious dental institutions of Amravati, Maharashtra. This dental college is affiliated with the Dental Council of India, providing various courses in dentistry at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. VYWSDCT is spread over 5 acres and enrolment of 225 students on a campus with a teaching faculty of 121. In its stride for dental education, the college runs 9 programmes through three different degrees and specialises in Prosthodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Orthodontics.

The Vidarbha Youth Welfare Society's Dental College boasts of excellent facilities for the students, which concern their academic and personal welfare. Dental The dental flagship institution offers a whole gamut of programmes in dentistry, which includes one undergraduate course, five postgraduate courses, and three doctoral programs. All pen down in full-time modes, thereby assuring intensity and complete focus. Total approved intake in the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) – the flagship course: 100 seats. Postgraduate specialisations: PhD in Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge. Ph.D. in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Ph.D. in Oral Pathology and Microbiology. Number of Seats: only 2 for each of the programmes. Total number of Postgraduate Seats in College: 10. Total number of Ph.D.

Admissions to VYWSDCT are strictly done on a merit basis. A proper procedure is followed for taking students in. In the BDS programme, the student is supposed to have cleared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Over the same lines, the candidate has to appear in NEET MDS for admission to MDS programmes. The college, by whatever means, acknowledges the authenticity of these national-level entrance exams, which makes sure that the admission is legitimate and impartial.
