Vidhyawati Chaturvedi Shiksha Mahavidyalaya, Chhatarpur, was established in the year 2008 and is an affiliated college located in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. Located in Kishore Sagar Talab Road, this college is an co-educational one covering an area of 0.21 acres with the nearby land mark being the Hanuman Temple. It offers teacher education programmes for which it has been accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education NCTE. The institute has a total enrolment of 576 students and a faculty of 25 members and also, it provides two courses thereby, following a centralised approach on students’ education and growth in a more personal environment.

VCSM boasts of having made available many facilities in order to boost students’ learning. It also has functioning as a centre for knowledge, it has large clientele base comprising of 3500 books and 40 magazines with multimedia equipment such as video camera, still camera and stereo system. For information and computer literacy the library provides five sets of computers with internet connection. The IT infrastructure is fairly endowed with 12 computers, 1 desk top, 1 laptop, printers, 1 LCD projector etc hence making the students’ exposure to modern technological tools for learning satisfactory. Science enthusiasts are able to learn from a general laboratory equipped with electronic equipment for practical purposes. Besides, the college is equipped with sports amenities, an auditorium for functions, and seminars, and a health station with first aid services, highlighting the learner’s over-all development as not just an academic but a sportsman, and a healthy individual too.

VCSM also has two four-year integrated courses offered with a full-time mode of study. These courses are intended to ready graduates for teaching professions and may occur in tandem with the undergraduate degree. The total intake capacity of the college is 50 students and the course offers 25 seats for each of the offered programmes. This direct control also enables an institution to provide a one-off kind of educational environment which calls for more closeness between faculty and students.
