Vidya Pratishthan College of Education, Ahmednagar, was founded in the year 1965. It has been a place to shape the future of education. The institution is based in the state of Maharashtra in India and is a co-educational college. This institution is approved by NCTE and is an affiliated college. It functions from a campus which spans across 2 acres of land on compact dimensions. The institution undertakes three specialised courses in education. The student enrolment is 103. Along with 11 energetic teachers on its roll, the institute had maintained a salutary student-teacher ratio that provides a focal attention and quality teaching in B.Ed, M.Ed, and D.El.Ed programmes.

The course for Diploma in Elementary Education, D.El.Ed, is also conducted for a similar two-year term with the aim of empowering students in order to teach at the primary levels. The college admits 103 students at once in the class to create a personal learning atmosphere. 

The admission process at Vidya Pratishthan College of Education is merit-based and transparent. B.Ed, M.Ed, D.El.Ed-Admission to all the courses takes place on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination and/or performance in entrance examinations. It is bound by the policies of the state government of Maharashtra and the parent university.
