Vidyasagar Teachers Training Institute is a B.Ed college in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal and is an institute only for teacher training. This affiliated college was set up in 2017 and is widely renowned in the sphere of education. Located over an area of 1.05 acre, this institute provides two courses in teacher training only. The total number of students in the institute is 287 and the total faculty members are 23 so the student teacher ratio is reasonable as it is able to provide a personal touch and quality education. It is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to uphold high standards of education in teacher education courses.

The Vidyasagar Teachers Training Institute has two courses for full time teachers training programme each designed for a different area of teachers training. The course of Bachelor of Education B. Ed, Intake 100 is meant for those candidates who wish to teach at Secondary & Higher Secondary level. One of the new courses that admit 50 students is the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) The course is designed to produce teachers to handle classes at the primary and upper primary levels. Both are taking two years; the course mainly confining with permutations of pedagogical expertise and his or her educational paradigms. It has total enrolment of 150 students in these two programmes which shows that the institute specifically targets at training teachers.

Admission to Vidyasagar Teachers Training Institute is strictly on merit as formulated by the state government and as directed by the affiliated university. In case of the B.Ed programme, selection for admission is granted according to the marks scored in the qualifying exam as well as the entrance examination if any. These criteria may also be other as per the policies of the respective state government or UT administration in the selection process.
