Vidyavardhini Institute of Technology, Kolhapur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Vidyavardhini Institute of Technology was established in the year 2009 and is an affiliated college located at Pal, Gargoti, Bhudargad, Kolhapur district, Maharashtra. This campus has a layout of 5.24 acres with AICTE approval and offers different diploma programs in Engineering. The total student intake at VVIT is 433, while the faculty strength is 38; the environment is more oriented towards learning. The institute offers 10 courses in different specialisations, catering to the diverse interest of students in the domain of Engineering. 

VVIT is fully equipped with all amenities necessary for student learning and development. The library functions as the centripetal force for knowledge resources and provides an atmosphere congenial for reading habits and research. Different departments have well-equipped laboratories that help students get practical experience. The IT infrastructure of the institute helps students get access to state-of-the-art technology for studies. Separate hostels for boys and girls are available with 30-40 intakes, which are self-owned, located in Gargoti city for student comfort. There is a cafeteria on campus that serves a wide variety of healthy and hygienic food, while the medical room is maintained on campus for health-related emergencies. 

These include a total of 10 full-time diploma courses. Under these, there are five prime diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering with an intake of 60 students in each of the five disciplines. There are also provisions for lateral entries in these five disciplines for VVIT, with 6 students for each. These different courses provide options to students for choosing a stream of interest and inclination suitable for his personality and career building. The approved total intake for all courses is 330 for regular diploma courses and 30 for lateral entry programmes.

Vidyavardhini Institute of Technology has laid down a simple and easily accessible admission procedure. Admission to the diploma programs shall be made based on the performance by the candidates in their respective qualifying examinations. The institute shall adopt an admission policy consistent with the rules of the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai, for diploma courses.
