Vignan Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology, established in 2006, is one of the premier institutions in pharmaceutical education at Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This affiliated college has been approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. Within a very short period, it has carved out its niche in the field of pharmaceutical education. The campus is spread over 2.8 acres, with a wide range of pharmaceutical programs and currently 574 students enroled in the institution. The institute has a versatile, mixed student population, showcasing up to a remarkable gender ratio of 1:5.5, which is an indication of practicing inclusive education. At VIPT, there are 5 full-time courses at 3 degree levels: Bachelor of Pharmacy, or B. Pharma, as the main program with 100 students admitted annually. The courses at the postgraduate level are 15 seats for M. Pharma course in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Analysis. This institute also conducts 6-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharma.D.) programs with 30 seats, which provide a sustained quality education for those seeking advanced pharmaceutical practice and research. Thus, the student intake capacity of the VIPT institute through all its programs is 175, which testifies to the commitment of the institution in producing skilled professionals for the pharmaceutical industries.
