Vijay Vallabh College of Education located at a Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh was established in 2007 and emerges as one of the leading B Ed colleges of the region specializing in preparing teachers. This affiliated college is situated in Nadaun and is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Stretched over 20 acres of land, the college provides a suitable academic landscape that caters for its students needs. enrolment and Faculty: The institute has the strength of 150 students and 16 faculties which gives good strength ratio which is important for individual attention and learning.
In support of its educational mission, the college has a number of facilities that are state of the art. One of the critical approaches in developing academic collections is a full service library with over 5,000 education and general books, newspapers, magazines, and journals. Another important service provided by the library is photocopying services with regard to student needs. To support practical learning, the college has functional science laboratory for Physics, Chemistry and Biology where students get practical knowledge instead of the theoretical knowledge about these subjects. The IT is well developed and equipped; the school has a computer lab with twenty effective computers and free access to the Internet so that all students are familiar with the Internet environment. Physical development is facilitated through sports facilities inclusive of a large playground to support soccer, volley ball, badminton, kho-kho, and other sporting disciplines such as athletic. There is also available to everyone an auditorium where meetings, seminars, etc., are held, a canteen where one can have snacks and drinks, a health centre with first aid and a gym for Physical.
Vijay Vallabh College of Education is mainly a teacher education college it only has a B.ED course. This fully-featured program takes two years and has an authorised cohort strength of one hundred learners. B.ED curriculum is specifically aimed at furnishing trainee teachers with all the knowledge at their dispense as well as practical experience in order to enable them become competent educators in the teaching profession.
