Vijaya Institute for Management and Science for Women, Vijayawada Admission Process

Vijaya Institute for Management and Science for Women in Vijayawada (VIMW) is a highly reputed institution in India, which offers post-graduate degrees in management and computer applications. The admission cycle at VIMW generally starts off in the months preceding the academic session. 2. ICET Counselling: At the time of declaration of ICET results, candidates qualified to take part in the centralized counselling process of the state admission authority where the selecting institute can be selected is conducted.

3. Institute Application: Interested candidates for admission under Category B seats through the ICET counselling need to apply directly to the institute. They fill the application form either available on the institute's website or obtain at the admission office.

4. Document Submission: All the following documents should be submitted along with the completed application form:

  • 10+2 or equivalent certificate and mark sheets
  • Transfer certificate from last attended institution
  • Migration certificate (if applicable)
  • Caste certificate (if you are applying under reserved category)

5. Application Review: The institute's admission committee will review all applications based on the ICET rank (for Category A) or academic performance (for Category B) and other relevant parameters.

6. Interview Process: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview or group discussion particularly for Category B admissions. This way, the institute can assess the candidate's communication skills, aptitude, and overall suitability for the program.

Degree wise Admission Process

MBA: This two-year full-time Master of Business Administration program has been instituted by VIMW with the objective of training management professionals. The institute offers 60 seats under this program. The admission into Category A seats is based on the candidate's rank in the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET). The candidate should have completed a bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized university to become eligible for admission to the MBA program.

MCA: VIMW was instituted with the objective of producing competent IT professionals under the Master of Computer Applications program. The program has an intake capacity of 60 seats. Admission into Category A seats will be based on the candidate's ICET rank, similar to the MBA program. Eligibility for admission to MCA will require a candidate to possess a bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration, preferably in a computer science or a related degree.

There is also provision for admitting both MBA and MCA candidates into Category B based on their ICET rank or the percentage of marks/CGPA obtained in the bachelor's degree examination. This makes provision for candidates who may not have scored high in ICET but have otherwise performed fairly well in their academic records.
