Vijaya Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences for Women (VIPW) is a pioneering pharmacy education college among the few colleges of Andhra Pradesh. Established in the year 2009, in the historical city of Vijayawada, in the name of VIPW, it is a women's affiliated college under Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, with an aim to provide qualitative pharmaceutical education. VIPW is an "A"-graded institution by NAAC and approved by PCI, assuring great academic robustness. The 1-acre campus has a total enrolment of 2,239 students, with a faculty strength of 53. VIPW offers 6 courses across 3 degrees, including diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate studies in different pharmaceutical disciplines.

VIPW offers a very diversified range of pharmaceutical courses, from under-graduate to postgraduate programs. The institute curriculum encompasses 6 full-time courses which involve B.Pharma, M.Pharma with specialisations in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharma.D, and Pharma.D Post Baccalaureate. There is a total approved intake of 185 for these courses. In the latest academic year, the number of graduating students stood at a total of 2,239 which is one of the largest in terms of the biggest contributors to pharmaceutical education.
Admission procedure in VIPW is mostly entrance-based. Admission to B.Pharma and Pharma.D programs will be made through the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test. Admission to 2nd year of B.Pharma is done through lateral engineering entry through the Engineering Common Entrance Test. Admission to various postgraduate programs like M.Pharma will be done according to the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test conducted by the institute or Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test. The Pharma.D Post Baccalaureate course also accepts AP PGECET scores for admission. VIPW has provisions for scholarship opportunities, and more than 50 percent of the undergraduate students are provided reimbursement. This commitment toward women's education in the Pharmacy field made this institute a landmark in the region and helped in fostering pharmaceutical sciences while empowering women in the same.
