Vikas Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rajahmundry: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Situated in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, Vikas Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences established in the year 2008. The campus is laid out in 2 acres and offers a variety of pharmaceutical programs towards both undergraduates and postgraduates levels and even up to the doctoral level. The institute is NAAC-accredited and PCI-approved. The affiliated college, VIPS, has a total student enrolment of 582 and a faculty strength of 46. The institute offers 7 courses at the post-graduation, graduation, and diploma levels with different specialisations in pharmaceutical sciences.

VIPS has a fine array of facilities to support learning and development of students. Laboratories on campus are well-equipped as compared to PCI and AICTE norms and foster quality researches in pharmaceutical sciences. The institute library is a repository of knowledge wherein a collection of over 8,000 textbooks and 1,000 reference books, along with a digital section and internet-enabled computers, is available. VIPS also has an arrangement of separate hostels for boys and girls which are equipped with modern amenities and an attached recreation room along with gyms to enjoy at ease. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled, providing seamless connectivity for academic pursuits.

Now, talking about academics, the variety of courses under pharmaceutical studies offered by VIPS is pretty large. There are in all 7 full-time programmes, among which 1 belongs to undergraduate, 4 to postgraduate, and the 2 remaining doctoral programmes, which are Pharm.D and Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate. 

The admission process in VIPS is designed to be transparent and purely based on merit. For the undergraduate programmes such as B.Pharma and Pharm.D, admission is strictly based on the AP EAPCET scores. Postgraduate admission to the M.Pharma programmes is taken up on the basis of the APPGCET, which is the AP Post Graduate Common Entrance Tests.
