Vikas Shiksha Mahavidyalaya, founded in year 2005, is one of the leading educational institution of Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Located in Deopuri behind sabzi-mandi in Dumartarai, New Raipur, this institute spreads through a compact but strategic area of 0.61 acres of land. NCTE approved college provides specialised education in teaching majority of teachers. Vikas Shiksha Mahavidyalaya in total offers education to 198 students and has faculty of 12 members only, which make its environment highly competitive for aspiring education professionals. 

Vikas Shiksha Mahavidyalaya has developed different amenities that would help in improving students of the institute. Sports lovers will get ample amount of chances to practice for games and thus there will be maintainable balance between Academic and Sports. The college library provides the students with a means of accessing a number of education related facilities that may include texts, books, journals and other learning materials. Accommodating the practical learning needs, the institute has provided departmental-based laboratory where students learn their practical lessons according to their fields of specialisation. Moreover, the college has a health focus where students are protected by appropriate amenities including first aid as a way of providing medical assistance in case of emergencies. 

Vikas Shiksha Mahavidyalaya currently offers one full-time course: namely, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme . This two year course is aimed at producing quality teachers in line with Government policy on expansion of education to meet the needs of qualified teachers to enable the school take only one hundred approved students intake.

It is mandatory for all students seeking admission in Vikas Shiksha Mahavidyalaya follow the merit system evident in the institute’s admission process. Besides the results of the Qualifying Examination for Admission, performance on Petty Scrutiny Test/Entrance Test as the case may be is also considered.
