Vinayaga Education College as it is named started in 2008 and is an affiliated college situated at Keelapaluvur in Tamil Nadu. Located on a small piece of ground of 2.99 acres, this institution trains teachers at various levels of education. National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has accord recognition to the college which means the quality of their education. Taking 300 numbers of students per year and 16 faculties, Vinayaga Education College gives an intimate atmosphere for the students who want to become a teacher. The institute offers 3 full-time degree programmes: Undergraduate and postgraduate degrees: Bachelors in Education (B. Ed) and Masters in Education (M. Ed.) etc .

Vinayaga Education College's academic structure comprises 3 main courses: there is B.Ed programme is offering 100 and a Master in Education (M.Ed) etc .are offering 50 seats. Both are university-based, day-time, professional and academic undergraduate courses taking two calendar years of study and producing holders of a Bachelor of Education degree. The B.Ed programme provides basic platform for the prospective teachers and the M.Ed course provides an opportunity for those who wish to get advanced knowledge and to involve in research areas of education. The college provides a total capacity of one hundred and fifty student for both programmes, thus it afforded to give quality attention to each student in offering the teacher training programmes.

The admission policy of Vinayaga Education College is merit-based in consonant with the policies of state government, university and UT administration. For the B.Ed programme, the admission shall be made on merit of the marks secured in the qualifying examination as well as entrance test, if since.
