Vindhya College of Education, Shahdol, is one of the affiliated colleges established in the year 2016 and is located Kalyanpur village, Sohagpur, Shahdol District Madhya Pradesh. This mixed college occupies a tight 5000 sq ft area of land and aims to prepare future educators. The college has been approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) offering two full time education programmes with total admission capacity of 197 students. At present, Vindhya College of Education has a faculty of 7 members that ensures there is minimised students Teacher ratio that playing a major role in providing an effective learning environment for those who want to become successful teachers.

The facilities available at Vindhya College of Education has been put in place to facilitate the achievement of the college goals and objectives. All libraries in the institution contain relevant resources to support the students’ learning, including human resources, knowledge resources, references, and other learning materials without missing to have departmental laboratories for practical exercises. Vindhya College of Education offers two primary courses in the field of education: Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Education (D.Ed). Both are two year full time programmes with equal duration of two years. The college has an approved capacity of intakes as hundred for each of the programme thus, a total of 200 for the two programmes. These are kind of courses aimed at preparing the students to become best educators by combining theoretical understanding and practical teaching ability.

There are no cut offs fixed for the candidates seeking admission into Vindhya College of Education especially for the B.Ed programme since the college follows merit system. Current system of admissions involves the scores that a student gets in the qualifying examination or entrance test or examination. Like all colleges in the country, it follows the admission policies of the Madhya Pradesh state government and the linked university.
