Vindhya Institute of Management and Science Satna ( VIMS ) is established in Satna of Madhya Pradesh and the college is affiliated to Dr Harisingh Gour University Sagar (M.P.). Established on a limited campus area of 0.45913 acres, VIMS provides various undergraduate disciplines in management, commerce, computer science and education. The institute has a adequate teaching staff of 36 highly dedicated individuals to provide the best attention possible to the students. VIMS offers 9 courses in total across the 6 degree programs offered including Business Administration, Computer Applications, Commerce and Education etc. The institute then boasts of quality education being delivered in modern facilities and focused on the needs of the learners.

VIMS is proud of its systems such as infrastructure that have been put in place to support learning. The college boasts of a central library that presently has an open access stock of over forty-eight thousand, two hundred and ninety-six volumes. The library has developed several e-resources available across the campus through a strong network facility. Its specially designed IT facilities include ensured computer centre with air condition facility, leased line internet connection with high speed configured with modern hardware and softwares and 600 computing facilities spread over 10 computer labs. Thanks to the convenient opportunity to use this facility 24/7, students have enough practice to refine their techniques. For practicality, the VIMS has functional laboratories for physics, chemistry, electrical, electricals, and a host of others manned by qualified personnel to supervise students.

Today, the institute has a total of 9 undergraduate courses and all of them are of full time courses. They are the BBA, BCA, B.Com (Hons), B.Com (Computers), B.Com (Economics) and B.Sc (Computer Science) B.Sc (Biotechnology with Chemistry), Sc (Biotechnology with computer) and B.Ed. The college has a great intake capacity for the students, the courses such as B.Com (Hons), B.Com (Computers) and B.Sc (Computer Science) respectively has 180 students intake capacity. The BBA and B.Com (Economics) courses have a total of 120 seats, and the B.Ed course has only 100 students’ seats. All these courses are selected to meet the basic need of different students according to their field of specialization or the professional objectives that they have in mind.

Being a state university, the admission to all the courses offered in VIMS follows a merit syndrome as far as marks scored in the qualifying or entrance exams for the concerned course are concern and as per the government of Andhra Pradesh and Osmania university norms.
