Vindhya Kanya PG College, Sonebhadra was established the year 2006. The college is located in Roberts Ganj, Sonebhadra, Uttar Pradesh in a 4 acre campus. The institution is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education. The college has 2,054 students and 16 teaching faculty members; at present, it offers 6 programmes. 

Vindhya Kanya PG College facilities include several which facilitate the student community in their quest for learning. The library is well  stocked and rich with the books, boundaries, and borders on every side, with a reading room that serves as the centre of knowledge in fulfilling the academic quests of the students. The institution's departmental laboratories provide the required practical learning and experimentation. Vindhya Kanya PG College has a total of 6 full-time courses, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, BA, B. Com, B. Ed, B. Sc, D.El.Ed, and M. Com — to accommodate the academic interests and career aspirations of all genres of students. The flagship course, B.Ed, has an approved intake of 100 seats at the institution. 

The admission process at Vindhya Kanya PG College varies depending on the course. The B.Ed and D.El.Ed programmes are also of merit-based category, controlled by the score attained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The actual selection procedure would be in accordance with the policies of the state government and university to which the college is affiliated.
