Visakha Institute of Engineering and Technology (VIET), established in 2008, aims to provide quality education in the stream of engineering and architecture. VIET Visakhapatnam is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada and approved by AICTE. VIET Visakhapatnam offers a variety of technical and management courses at different levels, including diploma courses in engineering, B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, and MBA. 

To get into diploma programmes, academic scores from class 10 are considered. Candidates who want to join the B.Tech course at VIET Visakhapatnam need to have valid scores in JEE Main or AP EAMCET. Similarly, for B.Arch, Candidates require scores of JEE Main or NATA. For PG courses, candidates should take GATE or AP PGECET for M.Tech courses at VIET Visakhapatnam, and appear for AP ICET for the MBA course. Candidates need to clear the cutoff for the entrance exam and then apply for counselling.

The placement cell of VIET Visakhapatnam regulates all the placement activities and organises campus drives and training programmes for students. VIET Visakhapatnam facilities include internet access, a gym, sports facilities, a cafeteria, guest accommodations, transportation, and other services.
