Institute of Pharmacy for Women, an institution especially devoted to pharmacy education among women, was established in the year 2003 by Vishal Junnar Seva Mandal. Located at Ale, Junnar Taluka of the Pune district, this institute is affiliated and sprawls over 5.17 acres of land. It is approved by Pharmacy Council of India for focused curriculum in pharmacy studies. The institute provides an aggregate strength of 120, holding a faculty strength of 13, thus providing an academically nourishing ambiance for its pharmacy students.

The institute has incorporated many modern facilities in the institute with the aid of which learning experiences would be enhanced in the minds of the students. I.T Infrastructure designed at the institute is expansive and state-of-the-art, coupled with internet facilities, and offers an opportunity for the students to remain upgraded regarding global information and technology in pharmacy. The library is considered to be the heart of the institute in which thousands of books on various subjects are kept and subscriptions for different national and international journals are drawn. For the health of their body, well-equipped gymnasiums and sport facilities for indoor and outdoor games are provided. Auditorium in the campus brightens up academic ambience for an event or seminar held in the campus.

The institute conducts the following course from Vishal Junnar Seva Mandal: D. Pharm-It is a full-time two years course. It is at present allowed to admit 60 students. Since it is a stress on focused study, the institute gives these students specialized attention in pharmaceutical studies-a great grounding for successful careers in this field. The quality pharmacy education provided by the institute is reflected in the focused curriculum and facilities. The intake capacity at Vishal Junnar Seva Mandal's Institute of Pharmacy for women according to the decisions taken in the DTE process comprise of CAP rounds I, II and III.
