Hello Bob,

As per your question , I would recommend you to take dbit Mumbai cs/it because I have this opinion that in case of private college taking a core branch is not a wise option because the placements in 90% of the private colleges is not up to the mark.

In case of dbit Mumbai cs/it you will be having numerous opportunities and would have the benefit of receiving higher packages than the core branch. In core you would receive majorly packages ranging from 4-5 L per annum.

Hello Aspirant,
Hope you are doing good. As per your question.VIT Pune is a good College with reputation. For batch 2020 placement drive, highest CTC was 26.4 LPA and the lowest was INR 6.6LPA.141 approximately students were placed. It is one of the top college. So the field you want to choose is good. You will get nice opportunities coming from top companies. You can also opt for other private colleges.
Hope the information is helpful
Thank you

Dear Bob,

I will here provide you some of the tips which you can go through to understand about the given branch.

Percentage wise placements are good. 50–60% get placed (which is healthy figure if you compare with other institutes). Many students are not eligible for placements (since the competition is furious many companies do not allow students with back, also many have criteria of 60 or 65 % through out i.e. in 10th and 12th as well.) Additionally many students don't appear for placements by their own will as they want to go for higher studies or want to prepare for UPSC/MPSC given all these factors 50–60% placements is really a good fig for mechanical.

Package :  Most of the companies for mechanical paid around 5LPA -+25k. Very few Paid 6+ and  Mercedes was offering 5.5+. But I heard for juniors' Batch few Paid around 8-10.

Job Profile: This is a tricky one. What we learn in college rarely aligns with industry guidelines. Very few companies come for design engineer. Mainly companies come for sales engineers . Some companies have different profiles in a Production Plant.

If you have an inclination towards mechanical Engineering and you can't get into COEP/VJTI I'll say VIT Pune is the next best option.

What all matters in an interview is temperament.

I hope you got the answer.

IIITs are much better than VIT. VIT is an average Institute with good students having average and sometimes below par faculties(exception are everywhere). IIITs have far better faculties and facilities than VIT. VIT has good infrastructure but not enough for students studying there as its student intake is very high

Many new IIITs lack their own campus and thus fail to provide students with many things, which are essential for their student life. But I can definitely assure you that IIIT, is way better than VIT. Not only it is an institute of national inportance, but also has its own campus and is thriving there. With great faculty and many extra cuurricular activities in form of clubs and competitions, IIITG has become a role model for the ew IIITs.

Hello student,

Congratulations for scoring such great percentile in MHTCET 2021. With this good percentile, you can get admission in some of the good colleges of the state. Also, as you are a OBC category student, your chances of admission increase. However, its quite difficult that you secure admission in VIT Pune for TFWS as its cut off is quite high as the number of seats are less. However, you can also try for institutional rounds admission

Here is a list of some of those colleges:

  • Thadomal Sahani College of Engineering
  • Rodrigez College of Engineering
  • PVG College of Engineering
  • VJTI
  • SPCE
  • DJ Sanghvi College of Engineering
  • Walchand College of Engineering
  • Thakur College of Engineering
  • PES Modern College of Engineering
  • KK Wagh College of Engineering

Hello,

I hope you are doing good,

According to the credential provided by you and previous years cutoff you have very low chance of getting a seat in Computer Science and Engineering in any of the above mentioned colleges.

But you can apply for them in any other branch can have a option of Branch change before second year.

Or you can directly apply for them as the cut off changes every year.

Hello student,

I am sorry to say that even if you are a female candidate along with SC category caste, you have next to impossible chances to get CS/IT branches in VIT Pune. However, there are quite good chances that you can get admission in some other top colleges in CS/IT with these leverages.

Hello student,

Honestly speaking, both colleges are of almost the same level for CSE branches. The core difference comes whether what location you want to study in - PUNE or MUMBAI. Both colleges are private and autonomous affiliated to their respective government aided universities.

However, you can have look at the links below for better comparison of both the colleges:

Giving a review of my College is quite a good experience.

College Infrastructure

VIT Pune has a well-developed campus with modern infrastructure and facilities. The classrooms are spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with smart boards to facilitate digital learning. The labs are well-equipped with the latest technology and high-end computing resources, particularly for CS, AI, and robotics. The central library offers a vast collection of books, research papers, and digital resources, allowing students to stay updated. The Wi-Fi-enabled campus ensures seamless connectivity for research and online learning. Hostel facilities are available but limited, leading many students to opt for PG accommodations nearby. The institute also has a canteen, medical facilities, and sports grounds for cricket, football, basketball, and indoor games like chess and table tennis.

Helped me observe and analyse my college thoroughly.

College Infrastructure

Well organised structure but classrooms can be improved and they have already started working on adding smart tables that include switches for charging laptops and mobiles. Parking of the college is a big issue though. Students coming late or having lectures in the second part of day need to park their vehicles on ground which isn't a good thing.

Great learning, good placements, and vibrant campus life.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is well-equipped with modern classrooms, high-speed WiFi, spacious libraries, and advanced labs. Clean hostels, sports facilities, and a vibrant campus enhance the overall student experience. (220 chars)
