Vitthalrao Deshmukh Adhyapak Vidyalaya, located in Mahuli Khanapur, Jalgaon, Maharashtra, is a self financed institute which was established in 1962. This premier college recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE) offers education in teacher education only. Being a regional college of education, it has a plot of land of 75 acres and feels like a community of learners. The total enrolment of the institute is 35 students and at present faculty members working in the institute are 4, thus catering best facilities to the students.

Vitthalrao Deshmukh Adhyapak Vidyalaya has also created variety of facilities meant to improve students’ learning environment. The library plays a critical information providing center necessary for academic advancement. Departmental laboratories provides practical hands on knowledge essential for practical teacher training. The college also has an Auditorium for functions and seminars to support the young active academic life of the college. In order to enhance students’ comfort and preserve their health, the campus provides such facilities as a cafeteria and availability of a gym and sports grounds. It also supports modern education by having proper IT services students can use to enhance their learning. Further, to support the IIT faculty members and the guest/ awaiting student’s families, there exists a guest room/ waiting room.

Vitthalrao Deshmukh Adhyapak Vidyalaya, Mahuli offers only one full time course of study which is Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). As a two year programme, this course is intended to equip the student with all necessary tools to secure a job in primary education teaching. 

The admission norms and procedures followed for admission are in consonance with the policies given by the state government/UT administration. Selection criteria for admission are based on marks score in the qualifying exam, and the entrance examination. The college may also have other selection methods as may be the policy of the college.
