Vivek Education Society’s Vivek College of Commerce, which started in 1986, is an acknowledged institute of Goregaon West, Mumbai. This affiliated college affiliated to the University of Mumbai and recognized by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) provides a wide spectrum of under graduate & post graduate courses in the field of Commerce, Management and Information Technology. With a total enrollment of 2,660 students and a faculty strength of 33, the college boasts a balanced gender ratio of 1:1.28 (male to female). It offers 10 courses under six degree programs, focusing on areas of Business Management, Accounting, Finance, and Mass Media Communication. 

The college has also put in place some facilities to support the learning of their students creating a new face of the college The college has adopted appropriate infrastructures needed for improving the learning environment of students. The fully computerized library has a seating capacity of One hundred and sixty and has 28089 books, 102 Magazines, Periodicals and other related materials. The library also boasts internet stations and computer, as well as photocopying services. The college own well equipped laboratories as shown below including an air conditioned computer laboratory with twenty five computers to accommodate all departments. Besides, health and recreation, the school has a gym, with indoor games and other equipment for sports. 

Vivek College of Commerce is known to offer all around academics and has 7 undergraduate and 3 postgraduate courses to its students. The undergraduate programs include B.Com, B.Com (Banking and Insurance) B.Com (Accounting and Finance), B.Com (Financial Markets), BMS/BSC IT and BMMMC. At the postgraduate level diploma courses available are M.Com (Business Management), M.Com(Accountancy)and M.Sc (Information Technology). All the courses are day-time, as such, students develop extensive knowledge in their areas of specialization and professional skills in practice. The college offers education to 2,660 students where 70 percent are undergraduate and 30 percent are post graduate students.

With regard to the admission assessment, it is stated that Vivek College of Commerce follows the policy of entrance fairness though the admission process is not described in detail. The college may consider previous qualifying examination scores and may administer an entrance examination and/or interview for some courses. The interested candidates are encouraged to visit the college website or the admission office for more details on the application deadline , qualification and documents to be submitted. The institution has offered different programs with different charges of fees, which is ranging between INR 30668 – 76328 per annum depending on the program offered. Details of scholarships that are offered here is however lacking but the college’s goal is to offer quality education whereby it may be in a position to support deserving students. Although the college’s alumni information section is not very descriptive, there must be its alumni occupying great positions in different commerce, managerial, and information technology companies.
