Vivek Education Society’s Vivek College of Commerce, which started in 1986, is an acknowledged institute of Goregaon West, Mumbai. This affiliated college, affiliated with the University of Mumbai and recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), provides a wide spectrum of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of commerce, management, and information technology. Degree wise Admission Process
B. Com: The college offers various B. Com courses viz general B. Com, B. Com (Banking and Insurance), B. Com (Accounting and Finance) and B. Com (Financial Markets). Candidates are admitted based on their 10 + 2 scores. Candidates from the commerce stream are given preference. Intake capacity is very high for these popular courses.
BMS: Entrance into the colleges offering Bachelor in Management Studies offers is made for candidates with qualifying scores from the 10+2 level from all streams. Groups or personal interview may be held post-screening basis the college or institute.
B.Sc Information Technology: This is the course for the students interested in IT and computer science. It is through scores of 10+2 and with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. The college may conduct an aptitude test for IT skills as part of the selection process.
BA Mass Media and Communication: This course is on media studies and communication. Admission is based on 10+2 scores from any stream, with a possible aptitude test or interview for assessing communication skills.
M.Com: There are M.Com courses offered in Business Management and Accountancy. Admission shall be on basis of bachelor degree scores, preferable in commerce related streams. Sometimes the college arranges entrance tests or interviews also for final short listing.
M. Sc Information Technology: Suggests that a candidate should have graduation in IT/ Computer Science and other related fields. However, admissions for these are strictly based on graduation scores. But for evaluating technical knowledge, an entrance test or interview may be required.
The infrastructure of the college is not so good. It can be improved to a great level by using advance technology like installing smart boards, WiFi etc. The classrooms are not cleaned sometimes which puts a bad impact on the hygienity specially during monsoon season it's needs to be cleaned regularly.
The college has moderate level of facilities and equipment's. The classroom, laboratories are clean. One thing is they do not have their own hostel. The canteen is not that good. The canteen area is not that big.
Yes, college have all necessary facility in it. Like all classroom have proper light and fan, banches, projector, white board. Library have all types of books in it , and also have computer and network access facility in it.college is clean.
