Vivek Education Society’s Vivek College of Commerce, which started in 1986, is an acknowledged institute of Goregaon West, Mumbai. This affiliated college, affiliated with the University of Mumbai and recognized by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), provides a wide spectrum of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of commerce, management, and information technology. With a total enrolment of 2,660 students and a faculty strength of 33, the college boasts a balanced gender ratio of 1:1.28 (male to female). It offers 10 courses under six degree programmes, focusing on areas of business management, accounting, finance, and mass media communication.
The college has also put in place some facilities to support the learning of their students, creating a new face of the college The college has adopted appropriate infrastructures needed for improving the learning environment of students. The fully computerized library has a seating capacity of One hundred and sixty and has 28089 books, 102 Magazines, Periodicals and other related materials. The library also boasts internet stations and computers, as well as photocopying services. The college own well-equipped laboratories, as shown below, including an air-conditioned computer laboratory with twenty-five computers to accommodate all departments. Besides health and recreation, the school has a gym with indoor games and other equipment for sports.
Vivek College of Commerce is known to offer all around academics and has 7 undergraduate and 3 postgraduate courses for its students. The undergraduate programmes include B.Com., B.Com. (Banking and Insurance), B.Com. (Accounting and Finance), B.Com. (Financial Markets), BMS, M.Sc, and BSC IT. The postgraduate-level diploma courses available are M.Com. (Business Management), M.Com. (Accountancy), and M.Sc. (Information Technology). All the courses are daytime; as such, students develop extensive knowledge in their areas of specialisation and professional skills in practice. The infrastructure of the college is not so good. It can be improved to a great level by using advance technology like installing smart boards, WiFi etc. The classrooms are not cleaned sometimes which puts a bad impact on the hygienity specially during monsoon season it's needs to be cleaned regularly.
The college has moderate level of facilities and equipment's. The classroom, laboratories are clean. One thing is they do not have their own hostel. The canteen is not that good. The canteen area is not that big.
Yes, college have all necessary facility in it. Like all classroom have proper light and fan, banches, projector, white board. Library have all types of books in it , and also have computer and network access facility in it.college is clean.
