Vivek Jyoti College, Balaghat, was set up in 2005 in Surabhi Nagar Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh. It is an affiliated college. This institution, with a 3.25-acre campus, provides a number of programmes to the 325 students. The college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which speaks about the college’s pursuit of quality education. Vivek Jyoti College provides education through only two courses to meet multiple educational needs. The course offered at the institute comprises two education-related streams, namely B.Ed and D.El.Ed, both of which have an admitted capacity of one hundred each. The courses are diverse and varied in this college in order to equip students with the education needed to begin careers in education as well as new fields of science.

The admission procedures of the Vivek Jyoti College are merit-based and clear. For the course of B.Ed., the admission criteria include marks scored in the previous qualifying examination and/or an entrance test. The selection process involves the consideration of the policies from the state government and the affiliated university. Likewise, for the D.El.Ed. programme, admissions are done on a merit basis as per the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test as per the norms of the state government or UT administration, respectively.
