Vivekanand Education Society's College of Architecture, Mumbai: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Architecture (VESCOA) was set up in the year 2018 and is located in Chembur Mumbai. This affiliated college approved under the Council of Architecture is a blend of architectural formal education and hands on training. VESCOA is accommodating a total population of 73 students and with the efforts of 25 teaching faculty members. The college offers three programmes, one diploma, one M.Arch, and a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) for other aspects of architecture and interior design. However, with its goal of achieving a high quality of education and the provision of new technologies and updated modern tools and equipment, VESCOA is progressively asserting itself as an educational institution whose field is architecture. 

The college has numerous assets aimed at improving students’ learning experience on the college facilities. The LMIS allows the campus to offer a well stocked digital library with a silicon library system connecting students and faculty to national and international books, periodicals, and digtal resources with facilities for e-reading via the Kindle. To improve practical experience, the practical facilities in VESCOA include a computer laboratory equipped with 40 state-of-art and fully air conditioned computers with trading software. The VESCOA campus houses sports amenities for basketball, carrom, volley ball, and Badminton to cater the needs for the spirit enthusiasts. It also has 200-seater air conditioned seminar hall, health centre with first aid requirements and a canteen that offer quality meals at reasonable charges. All parts of the campus are enveloped with Wi-Fi signals and students can hook up to the internet wherever they are on the compound. 

VESCOA has the total of three courses, two full time and one part time. The five-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programme is the premier course with a total approved enrollment of 80 students. In addition, the college provides seats for Diploma in Interior Designing and Decoration, the full time 60 seats. These courses are aimed at giving the students full knowledge and practical skills of architecture and interior design. The total approved intake for all activities for various courses equals to 180 students. 

The admission criteria in VESCOA is more or less dependent on the scores obtained in the national level entrance test. For B.Arch the candidate has to clear the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), or have a minimum non-zero positive rank in JEE Main Paper II. They test the ability and the competencies that can otherwise be required in the course of practicing architecture. As for admissions, the college operates according to the requirements provided by the relevant authorities.
