Vivekanand Mahila Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya, Dholpur, Rajasthan, is one of the women’s education institutions involved in teacher training. This affiliated college was set up in 2006 and has been paving the way to the future of education for more than ten years. Affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the institute provides a specialised course in teacher education. The college has a strength of 188 students and 8 faculty members which makes it easy for the college to monitor each student. Through training and educating girls, the institute adopts a stand that empowers women in the course of academic knowledge.

Vivekanand Mahila Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya offers a number of infrastructural amenities that seek to improve the learning of students. At the centre of these is a richly stocked library containing over 3,000 educational books, encyclopaedias, journals, and magazines to support the learning of future school teachers. The institute is effectively practicing modern education as it has well established computer labs, LANs, & Internet facilities with more emphasis on students to make them computer literate. 

For the purpose of gaining practical experience, the college has provided several specific laboratories, including a psychology laboratory with approximately thirty psychological tests, a language learning laboratory to help learners overcome language learning disorders, and physical and biological science laboratories. These facilities help assure that students gain precious practice needed for their future profession as teachers. Also, the college offers the services of its sporting complexes to ensure that students are fully developed.

Running in this single focus, Vivekanand Mahila Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya’s main course is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). This is a two-year full-time course in the preparation of teachers, which will offer 100 seats in the first instance. The institute has focused mainly on the B.Ed. programme as the pillar of its operations because of its commitment to providing competent teachers. Although the college offers only this single degree programme at the moment, it prepares students for the working knowledge of instructional modes, psychology of the learning process, and actual classroom practices.

The college, being an undergraduate institution, operates under admission policies as provided by the state government of Rajasthan as well as the affiliated university.
