Vivekananda College of Education is one of the leading colleges situated in Aligarh, and it was started in 2003 to build the future of education. It is a co-educational institution and situated in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India, on a total land area of 1 acres. Being an affiliated college, it has gotten recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) so as to provide quality education in nursing and teacher training. This institute has 3 full-time courses with a total student enrolment  of 359 and a faculty of 39 members, all of whom are dedicated teachers. The institution, known as Vivekananda College of Education, is dedicated to offering the best learning in B.Ed., M.Ed., and D.El.Ed. 

The college has installed various accessories meant to improve teaching and learning among the students. Modern libraries are information centres that should have all the necessary stock sources for future teachers. The campus has departmental practical laboratories that are important for practical experience in the study of teaching. For those who like exercises, the opportunity to keep fit is in sports facilities so that the work and leisure ratios could be optimal. As discussed above, Vivekananda College of Education provides only a limited number of full-time programs but offers a good number of distance education programmes. The primary offering of the college is the four-year course of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) for 200 students. For the postgraduate level, there is a Masters of Education (M. Ed.) programme with a total of 50 seats. It also offers a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course with 50 seats for teaching at the primary level. All these programmes can therefore be done within two years, and they offer sound training in their respective fields.

Admission into Vivekananda College of Education depends on the learners’ performance, therefore emphasising quality learning. Regarding the B.Ed. programme, the admission policy normally considers the percentage scored by the students in the qualifying test as well as the entrance exam if any is conducted by the university.
