Vivekanandha College of Education for Women, Tiruchengode, was started in 2005, and the college aims at building the future educators. The affiliated college is established in Elayampalyam, Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu; the college occupies an area of 5.05 acres of land. It is a women’s only institution approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). This college has private sector intakes for a total of 470 students, with 39 qualified and committed professionals as instructors. With a focus on teacher education, the institute offers two specialised courses: Two courses are available at our facilities, B.Ed. and M.Ed., to fulfil the dreams of students who want to become educators at bachelor’s and master’s degrees, respectively.

It carries out its responsibilities being mindful of the stakeholders and determined to enhance the learning environment through optimum facilities. It has a well-stocked library with above 8710 and thirty-five odd journals and fifteen magazines. In addition to the above, it also has the digitalised library having an e-journal subscription. The campus provides necessary, up-to-date laboratories, which are reviewed from time to time according to the syllabus of Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University. For comprehensive student development, the college has good facilities in sports, where many students engage themselves in quick games and activities daily. The institution also has a multi-speciality medical care hospital to guarantee the health of the student population.

Vivekanandha College of Education for Women offers two full-time courses: a B.Ed. programme for fifty students every year, along with an M.Ed. programme that would accommodate fifty students. Both degrees take two years and include coursework in educational theory and in the practice of teaching. Started in 2007, the B.Ed course is offered at ₹75,000 and the M.Ed course at ₹76,000. These programmes are set to equip students with the skills and knowledge they require to practice as effective teachers and educational managers.

This institution follows a merit system where candidates who look forward to being admitted into Vivekanandha College of Education for Women should provide their marks obtained in relevant examinations and/or entrance examinations depending on the state government and university standard. The B.Ed. programme admission will be conducted based on the merit of the candidate in the qualifying examination, entrance examination, or any other method as prescribed by the Tamil Nadu government and as per the university norms. 

The M.Ed. programme shares the same admission requirements in the same way as the existing regulations provided by the university and the Government of Tamil Nadu. The college has continuity of the alumni in terms of meeting and as well supporting the current college students. Unfortunately, there is no information on specific scholarships but the institution must provide financial aid of one kind or another to students.
