VMS Polytechnic College, Batala, which was set up in the year 2004 to be one of the leading polytechnic colleges of Punjab, India. This affiliated college, approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and PCI, New Delhi, provides a number of diploma courses in diverse fields of study. Located at Amritsar Road, Batala The college has 278 total student capacity and 56 total faculty members. VMS Polytechnic College offers 8 diploma courses in engineering and pharmacy; hence, it tries to fulfil the demands of technical education sector.

The admission strategies of students at VMS Polytechnic College are so planned that they are fair and detailed. Even for 67% seats, the admission procedure is through counselling with the merit of JET, conducted by Punjab State Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh. Usually it is conducted in April-May every year. The remaining 33% form the management quota, where students can approach the college directly to the principal without even writing JET. Seven schools have grasped this concept of dual admission, which guarantees that the college will admit worthy students.
