About VR Law College, Nellore

Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, based VR Law College was founded in 1974. Situated adjacent to Raghava Cine Complex on Trunk Road, Poghathota, this affiliated college has been carving legal minds since almost five decades back. VR Law College, approved by the Bar Council of India, is imparting quality legal education on its 3.09-acre campus. With a total student enrolment of 1,125 and a faculty strength of 19, the college provides a focused learning environment for aspiring legal professionals.

It has all kinds of facilities to make the learning process enriching for its students. At the nucleus of the amenities is a well-stocked library and reading hall that contains an inventory of about 20,000 books and journals, which further gets supplemented by subscribed leading newspapers and journals. In the context of practical training of legal skills, a Moot Court is available within the college for the students to develop advocacy skills in a courtroom setup. In regard to technological advancement, the IT infrastructure is pretty up to the mark.

Based on different academic preferences or career aspirations, there are two broad categories of law programmes that VR Law College offers to students, a 3-year LLB programme and a 5-year integrated BA LLB programme, both offered as full-time courses. The approved intake capacity for LLB is 300 seats, while that for BA LLB is 120 students. These programmes work at offering a robust foundational course in the theoretical and practical aspects of law and prepare students for very successful careers in different legal domains.

The admission process to VR Law College is basically based on the Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test, AP LAWCET. Applicants can take admission to the 3-year LLB and 5-year BA LLB courses through this entrance exam conducted yearly.
