VSM College, Ramachandrapuram, was started in 1966 and is an autonomous institution located in East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. This campus, spread over 8 acres, offers as many as 20 different courses in 9 degree programs. VSM College provides an amiable learning environment with a total student enrolment of 2,384, including students of faculty strength of 110. The institution is accredited by NAAC and approved by AICTE, New Delhi, which makes it concerned about quality education and adherence to national standards.

The college has a wide variety of facilities that facilitate learning, personal development, and growth of students. It has separate boys' and girls' hostels that provide comfortable accommodation on campus. It is sectionalised for undergraduate and postgraduate sections, comprising over 62,277 copies of textbooks, many numbers of journals, INFLIBNET and DELNET facilities are also provided for digital access. There exist well-equipped laboratories, duly funded by UGC grants, related to various disciplines. It also has an auditorium for events, a very satisfied cafeteria, and a health center to cover medical needs. A well-equipped gymnasium and different sports facilities are also available for physical fitness. Courses at the VSM College vary from 13 undergraduate courses to 7 at the postgraduate level. The undergraduate courses include B.Com, B.Sc, BCA, and BBA with both English and Telugu mediums. At the postgraduate level, MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MBA, and MCA are offered. The intake capacity for the MBA and MCA programs is 240 and 180 seats, respectively.

The admission process in VSM College is done on the basis of merit. The policy is subject to rules framed by the affiliated university. The college accepts the scores in Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test APICET, in case of Postgraduate courses like MBA and MCA.
