Vyas Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jodhpur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Affiliated college Vyas Institute of Engineering and Technology (VIET) was founded in the year 2007 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Located on a large forty acre campus area, VIET is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). At present, the institute has B.Tech programs that have a total intake of 134 students and has 63 effective faculty members. Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering course streams are the major areas in Engineering disciplines of the VIET which also showcases the organisation’s commitment to quality education. The operating location of the institute on the Pali Road along National Highway 62 makes it easily accessible for learners from different parts in the region.

As an establishment of learning, VIET also provides a number of amenities for learning and student services. The institute has different blocks for boys and girls hostels, common area with reading section and TV facility & Mess. They are afforded one on one supervision, especially by Residential Wardens to guarantee students a secure place to stay. The College library is an information resource center boasting the status of a holdings that includes over 80000 books and bound periodicals, 787 print serials, and a networked library that provides access to many online databases and journals. Sportsmen get both indoor and outdoor games at VIET; these include cricket and football fields, volley and basketball courts, and an indoor hall for gym. There is also a mini theatre on campus that is used in performances from cultures and seminars to help help students to develop interpersonal skills.

The institute has four B.Tech programs as full time degree programs that take four years in total. These include B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering. The cumulative intake for these courses that has been approved is 156 with an intake of 30 for Computer Science and Electronics & communication streams, 48 for Mechanical and Electrical streams respectively. All the courses are available in full time, so students receive complete theoretical and practical knowledge in their selected area of specialization.

The admission committee at the VIET entrusting the admission process based on the marks secured by the students in their qualifying examination and also the admission policy laid down by the Rajasthan Technical University. The candidates must have completed their 10+2 examination with minimum of 45% marks in the desired combination for participation in B.Tech Programs (40% for ST/SC/OBC of Rajasthan state only). The institute accepts students’ scores of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main; 85% of the students are selected under REAP and JEE Main ranks. This make sure that VIET is appealing and attracts some of the smartest brains in the profession of engineering. This is supported by the standard and modern facilities in laboratory, IT as well as offering a curriculum that will have students ready for the engineering and technology career market.
