Watumull Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ulhasnagar: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Watumull Institute of Electronics Engineering and Computer Technology, Ulhasnagar, was established in 1981. This is an affiliate college to Thane-based, spread over 3.08 acres in Maharashtra. In total, there are 236 student enrolment and a faculty strength of 23 across three undergraduate engineering programs in this AICTE-approved institution.  The streams that the engineering aspirants are made available to include computer engineering, civil engineering, and electronics and telecommunication engineering.

WIEECT also has a number of facilities for the benefit of students to develop themselves in every possible aspect. The college library has been facilitated with over 15,000 books, 18 journals, and a no. of reference facilities like educational CDs and NPTEL video lectures encompassing topics from Engineering to personality development. Also, the institute includes first-aid facilities, a gym, well-equipped laboratories for practical learning, IT infrastructure to make the students updated with technological advancement, and a canteen for refreshment purposes. Sports facilities and a very active alumni association support a well-rounded college experience.

The Institute offers three full-time BE programs each of four-year duration. It includes BE in Computer Engineering, BE in Civil Engineering, and BE in Electronics and Tele-communication Engineering. The fact of the institute's emphasis on such core engineering disciplines says a lot about its churning out capable professionals in high-demand technical fields.

The Institution's admission is majorly based on scores obtained from national and state-level entrance examinations. Admission forms are as follows: through the Joint Entrance Test JEE Main conducted at all-India level for admissions in engineering or through the Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test. These tests measure the aptitude of a student in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and form the basis of admission to the Institute's Under-Graduate Programmes in Engineering.
