West Guwahati Commerce College, located in Guwahati, Assam was established in the year 1992. The co-ed college has a campus area of just 1 acre but still assures good quality commerce-based education to its students. It is an affiliated college that received accreditation from NAAC and teaches two stream-specific commerce-based programs. With a student strength of 693 and faculty strength of 22, West Guwahati Commerce College maintains an intimate learning environment that provides the scope for personal growth and excellence in academic pursuits. 

The college houses some infrastructural facilities that are the epitome of essentials in student life and contribute to academic well-being. This library is at the core of these facilities. There is a library with growing stocks of books and innumerable daily newspapers and magazines. The library conducts a book bank for the economically deprived sections of students. At the campus level, there is accommodation for 500 persons in a good auditorium, "Karmashree Hiteswar Saikia Auditorium," where many academic and socio-cultural functions can take place. The cafeteria is also maintained very clean, and the refreshments are provided at very meagre rates. Sheds for parking the vehicles are also a part of the campus. The college has also put in substantial investment into the good IT infrastructure so that it could cope with digital age and the students would get the right exposure to all kinds of modern tools for learning. Sports facilities are also available for the fitness-conscious students, and an alumni association helps maintain this chain among present as well as former students. 

West Guwahati Commerce College offers two full-time undergraduate programs in commerce to those who show keen interest in business and financial studies. The B.Com. program,It has an approved intake of 400 students, which reflects the high demand for commerce education in the region, forms the backbone of academic offerings at the college. The B.Com (Hons) program is also available for interested students who may want to pursue the stream on a relatively more specialized and intensive level.
