Dear aspirant, admissions in MIT Pune is done either through MHT-CET score or through JEE MAIN score through MIT-WPU counselling. For Maharashtra state candidates it is done through MHT-CET score &for outside state it is done through JEE MAIN scores. But there is no IT branch available at MIT WPU.

If you are asking about NIT or IIT then:-

NIT/IIT comes under central government.So,the government provide full financial support to the SC/ST caste students.They don't have to pay tuition fee,they only pay for other charges i.e 10000-12000 and the hostel(mess) fee which is around 30000.

What makes a college better than others is the faculty, infrastructure and placement. Since Christ Lavasa is the newly set up branch you can expect a good infrastructure but when it comes to faculty and placements they still need to work on it as currently there main focus is to work on its marketing that is why they enroll large number of students in their programs.

Same applies for MIT pune as well. The infrastructure and placement needs lots of improvement. PIBM, Pune is a blend of good faculty, with nice infrastructure and good placements. So I hope you get your answer.

I would like to tell you that MIT Pune is private University with approval of UGC and AICTE.
The admission in MIT Pune is based on merit score and also score in entrance examination. You need to have minimum 45-60% score depending on your field of interest.
The average package is offered by 6.25 lacs per annum and highest can be upto 24 lacs per annum.

Basically , MIT Group of Institutions consist of 3 engineering colleges.

1. Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT)
2. M.I.T. College of Engineering (MITCOE)
3. MIT Academy of Engineering (MITAOE)
   
   All 3 colleges are affiliated to the Pune University. MIT & MICOE are located in the heart of Pune city i.e. in Kothrud area while MITAOE is about 20 Kms away from city i.e. at Alandi. But still MITAOE may lead in cut offs because now its an “Autonomous Institute” (from 2016–17 batch).
   Fees-
   Fees is nearly same for all 3 colleges , they can differ only by 4–5 thousands.
   Life at Campus-
   If you are addicted to city life, then you must opt for Kothrud Campus. Here,You will get the real feel of “Pune City Life” as its one of the most prestigious areas of Pune. You will get all variety of food stuff, stationary,hostels, flats on rent and all other facilities which you will need. While at Alandi campus you will surely miss many of these things. But both campuses are very clean and beautiful. The dome shaped buildings make them different from others.
   Events-
   MIT, Kothrud is known for the variety of events which it hosts. Huge number of Students across the country attend various Technical events such as Texephyr, Nirmitee, Tesla & other Non Technical events such as Summit, Bhartiya Chhatra Sansad etc. every year.
   Faculty-
   Faculty of all the 3 campuses is nearly same in quality but most of the experienced teachers are at main MIT college. But don’t worry, because in engineering, your own study & hard work matter the most .
   Placements-
   MIT institutes follow central placement system. Placement procedure is generally held at main MIT kothrud campus hence students of Alandi campus have to travel every time and come at Kothrud.
   Looking at the stats of last few years, Placements of Comp, It, Entc are far better than other branches .But it may change in coming future.

MIT WPU is deemed university. The cutoff of jee mains to get admission is not that high as their fee structure. But yes according to marks in jee mains they give you scholarship. Also in previous(2019) year qualifying mark for ooen category is 76 and for getting seat the marks needed in  CS are 110+ marks. Also if you percentile is more the cutoff of jee main i.e, 80  percentile,then you get good scholarship too.Considering last years cutoffs if you want to get seatin it you need 90 percentile now.

To seek admission in MIT, Pune considering you belong to general category and has Maharashtra as home state, you need to get a rank under 3400 in MHT-CET, to be on the safer side. If you do not belong to Maharashtra, then you need to get a rank under 2300 in MHT-CET. Good luck.

Yes, MIT College of Engineering, Pune accept MAHA CET score for admission in B.tech, L.L.B, MBA, B.Pharma etc.It also accept JEE main score for admission in B.tech.The admission is based on merit in the qualifying examination. The application for MHT CET is ongoing.The last date to apply is 29th February, 2020.
