School of Computer Science and Engineering is a constituent college of XIM University, Bhubaneswar, which was set up in 2016. Situated in Harirajpur, Odisha, this school is a co-educational institute that has only the primary aim to deliver quality education especially in the area of Computer Science and Engineering. Some of the programmes to be provided in the school are undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate programmes in different fields of study. Some facts and figure of this institution are, faculty comprises of 8 members and it aims to providing individuals attention and guidance to the students. The highlighted focus on excellence is proved by the availability of the modern facility and programme relevant to the developments in the sphere of technology.

The students at the School of Computer Science and Engineering benefit from a various list of amenities that are aimed at improving student learning environment. The physical installations are well developed featuring the best sports and gymnasium for encouraging and improving physical and leadership abilities in students. However, for students who need housing, the university provides boys and girls hostels within the compound. It has a clinic and an ambulance to attend to students as far as their health is concerned, is taken care of even in the middle of the night. Learning resources are available in plenty with a well equipped library with 66200 books, 14000 e-books, 11800 journals for research and learning. It has many facilities, especially in the IT sector which includes the IBM Analytics Lab, HP Cloud Computing Centre, Digital Circuits Lab and Data Centre. Students are also able to have resources from Microsoft Imagine Academy making it even more flexible for student learning.

The School of Computer Science and Engineering has a total of 3 courses at different study levels. These are a B. Tech Computer Science and Engineering honours, a M. Tech Data Science and Analytics and Ph.D Computer Science and Engineering. Courses are planned to develop subject matter proficiency as well as skills appropriate to the innovative subdiscipline of the discipline of computer science. 

The admission policy of the School of Computer Science and Engineering is aimed at choosing the most deserving candidates. Taking B.Tech admissions into consideration, the school administers the Xavier Engineering Selection Test (XEST). The candidates who were scoring 75% or above in the JEE Main examination can be taken under the direct admission scheme provided they are going through the performance of the prior session and a personal interview. For the admission of candidates in M.Tech, merit is initially prepared based on academic achievements, co-curricular activities, performance in Xavier Engineering Entrance Examination (XEEE) and Statement of Purpose. Members of the interview panel are also invited for a personal interview after being shortlisted. In case of Ph.D Admissions, the candidate’s academic performance, Statement of Purpose as well as the XEEE score are considered as selection criteria, and then there is a personal Interview cum presentation. Applicants who have appeared for GATE/NET or any other national Level Scholarship Test within the last one year will be exempted from the entrance examination. It also accepts scores in JEE Main for its B.Tech programme and follows the engineering standards across the country.
