XITE College, Gamharia or XITE Jamshedpur is one of the top colleges in India started in 2007. Situated in Gamharia of Jharkhand, this college has rich facility with 34.50 Acres of campus area. Being an affiliated college, XITE is accredited from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), to deliver quality education. Here there are 3 degrees with 4 courses in total to offer undergraduate students in the institute. With a total of 295 students on its roll and 17 faculty members, XITE has a good student faculty ratio. The college respects diversity specifically in terms of gender which include 57% of male students and 43% female students.

Through these facilities XITE College is focused in offering a one stop shop in preparation for the tertiary institutions and at the same time offering an all round experience to the students. One of the facility assets of the campus is a computer lab with forty computers and the connection to high-speed internet, plus the most up to date software. The books are sectioned in the college library are more than 5600 and the journal is 24, The college library also uses the KOHA software to organize the books. Play grounds for volleyball, football, basketball, badminton, kabaddi, cricket and athletic are provided to the sports lovers. Cedars college is also very much concerned about students’ health especially by providing a sick room, regular physician visits and has a trained nurse on site. Further, XITE has different hostels for boys and girls carefully designed and equipped with comfortable furniture and recreational centers.

The institute is having a total of four full-time undergraduate courses so that every academical interest is fulfilled. These are Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com. ), Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts in English (Honours). Many programs are set as three-year full time courses, in respect of which part-time is an expanded version, not an alternative. The college was reserved for a total of 191 students for all courses offered while at the moment the college has admitted 295 students.

The admission process of this college is general and holistic, and every candidate is equitably treated. For all undergraduate courses offered, such as BBA, B Com (Hons), BA Economics (Hons), and BA English (Hons) applicants are expected to apply and are then invited for an interview. The candidate is being selected on the basis of their academic qualification as expressed in Class 12 or any other examination as the case may be, as well as the interview they take. Interview dates and times are conveyed to the applicants by the college after the consideration of the applications submitted. This process helps the college to select the right student who is capable of pursuing the academic needs of his/ her intended course and meets the abilities and qualifications in communication that the college admits. XITE College has a policy to intake large number of students from within the state of Jharkhand self financed with 95% students from Jharkhand and 5% from other states. That is, the colleges also keep track of the alumni that are out there in the world today besides helping the present students connect with the alumni.
