Yaduvanshi College of Engineering and Technology, Sohali: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Yaduvanshi College of Engineering and Technology Sohali (YCET) is an affiliated college started in the year 2012 in Jhunjhunu Rajasthan. It is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education and has various undergraduate engineering programmes. YCET aims to spearhead quality technical education with vocational experience and employability skills as its core values. The college has a faculty team of 47 members with 5 courses in 1 degree program. New laboratories and updated curricula allow YCET considering itself as a college which will define future of engineering education in the region.

The college offers various amenities to facilitate the learning process of its population. The hostel facilities are available for both male and female students with commodious, fully furnished and air conditioned rooms and day recreation halls. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled and has an 8 Mbps leased optical fiber connection for internet. Administered with complete computerisation, YCET’s large library contains a rich assortment of books, periodicals, and electronic data. The college also contains a computer centre with more than 80 computers for diverse software and networking purposes. In terms of students’ welfare, there is a canteen, basic first-aid facilities which include doctors who are on call 24/7, sports amenities such as cricket ground, football ground, volleyball court and indoor games.

YCET has a total of five full time B.Tech programmes and all are regular programmes. The intake capacity has been approved to 30 for each branch of engineering and hence it has a total of 150 seats as per all streams of engineering offered. The courses are B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering. 

YCET for its admission policy is open to everybody regardless of the set criteria for admission are based on merit. For the students having domicile of Rajasthan 70% of seats are merely filled on the basis of RPET conducted by the RPET coordinator A merit list is generated for the purpose. The remaining 15% of the seats are open to students from outside the state through the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) but as per the merit list prepared by the Directorate of Technical Education, Rajasthan. The rest 15% of the seats are in the management quota where the direct admissions are made by the management depending on the student’s performance and qualifications but within the university norms of cut off percentages. The major common test accepted for admission by the institute is Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main).
