Yashwant College of Nursing, Kolhapur, was set up in 2015 and is one of the leading nursing colleges present ainPanhala, Maharashtra. This affiliated college is approved by the Indian Nursing Council so more focus and high standard education is provided in nursing field. Located on a 0.47 acres of land the college provides a niche learning institution for would be nurses. Although the total student intake at Yashwant College of Nursing is only 64 and faculty ratio of 20:1, the college strives well to maintain the student-teacher ratio healthy whereby students can be given special care and individual attention. 

The college has the following facilities that enable the college meet its intended learning needs of its students. Well equipped library which act as knowledge centre having whole lot of number of text as well as latest number of national & International journals. This is to make sure that the students are able to access information and do some individual reading and research within the school during working days when the library is opened from 9AM to 5PM in the evening. Yashwant College of Nursing also has departmental laboratories which are very important for practical skills for nursing practices. 

To meet the challenges of the Information Technology enabled environment, an IT infrastructure consisting of internet connected computers is provided where students can practice computer applications in the presence of supervisors. Sports amenities are also available in the college along with a gym, and there is an auditorium for the conducting of events and seminars thus playing a successful role in all round development of the students. In addition, there are rich infrastructural facilities for accommodation where the college has two hostels, one for boys and the other for girls to provide homely atmosphere for students from different corners of the country. This institution fosters different co-curriculum activities through its National Service Scheme (NSS) where students are taken through service to the community and leadership.

Yashwant College of Nursing offers two nursing courses, a four year B.Sc Nursing course and a three year General Nursing and Midwifery course. Both the course are full time and has approved the total intake capacity of both courses to be 20 and hence, there are 40 seats in total each year. It is with the view of offering a complete theoretical education and hands on capability for an effective nursing profession that such programmes are offered. Beside, by focusing on these curricula core nursing programmes, the college is able to provide area of specialisation and equally conscious in producing qualified nurses that will effectively meet the health care needs of the society.
