Zulekha Nursing College founded in 2006 is one of the popular nursing colleges situated in Mangalore, Karnataka. Being a co-educational college it is spread over one acre area it has been established with an aim to deliver quality education in the field of nursing. Recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), Zulekha Nursing College, provides the best under graduate and post graduate courses. Total strength of students per year is 207 and total faculty member is 31 so no doubt college is providing personal attention and quality education. It only provides 6 courses from the two degree programmes offered; Medical Surgical, Obstetrics and Gynaecological, Child Health, Mental Health, and Community Health Nursing.

The accommodation arranged for the students in campus include boys hostel and girls hostel, the students mess is also available serving veg as well as non veg food to the students. A spacious library of 2500 sqaure feet u-mounted with over 2500 professional books, Indian and foreign journals and readers and writers’ facilities through Helinet are also available for students as well as faculties. The college boasts of technology in proportionate laboratories that give students the opportunity to practice nursing procedures through demonstration. These are specialty labs which includes: Nursing Skills Development, Med-surg, Nutrition, Maternal/newborn, Community health, Anatomy/physiology and Microbiology labs. Furthermore, as will be described later, the college offers computer facilities so that learners are conversant with modern technology.

Zulekha Nursing College provides all the essential courses of nursing to meet the various job expectations in the health care industry. The institution offers one undergraduate programme, the four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc) and five postgraduate programmes, all of which take two years each. These consist of M.Sc in Medical Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing and Community Health Nursing. All courses are offered full time in order to allow for Lot of concentration in the course being pursued. The college has a total approved intake capacity of 75 students across all programmes with 60 students admitted to the B.Sc Nursing programme and three students each in the different post basic M.Sc specialties.
