Eligibility criteria of Bachelor of Library Science - Candidates must have a bachelor's degree (B.A / B.Sc / B.Com) with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate or its equivalent exam from any institute or university.
Eligibility criteria of Master in Library Science- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any relevant stream from a recognised university with minimum aggregate of 50% - 60%. However, a pplicants with a graduation degree in B.Lib.I.Sc. (Bachelor of Library & Information Science) and B.Lib.Sc. (Bachelor of Library Science) is given more preference.

For apply for Master of Library course in Calcutta University, Kolkata, candidates must have Bachelor's degree in Library Science/ Library and Information Science/ Information Science or any relevant degree from a recognised College or University.
Admission into Master of Library Science is based on merit obtained in qualifying exam or entrance exam conducted by the University.
It is expected to release application form for PG courses in Calcutta University, Kolkata in first week of June, 2022 and exam is expected to be in second week of July, 2022. The dates are tentative. The important dates of the entrance exam will be posted on their official website.
