Eligibility Criteria (UG & PG) of Renewable Energy
Candidates who wish to pursue renewable energy course must have minimum eligibility criteria. Those are as follows:
- Candidates must have a 50 per cent mark in their 10+2 level to get admission into Renewable Energy courses.
- Candidates must have a minimum score of 55 per cent on aggregate during their graduation level. However, for IITs, the qualifying percentage is 60 percent.
- Candidates having a Bachelor’s Degree in the disciplines of EE/ ECE/ EEE/ Mechanical/ Chemical/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Mechatronics/ Production/ Aerospace/Renewable Energy with a valid GATE score are eligible for admission to renewable energy course.
- Candidates, who have an M.Sc. degree in subjects like Physics / Chemistry / Material Science with a minimum of 55 per cent marks are also eligible for admission to take into renewable energy course.
- Apart from those criteria, many institutes prefer students with some professional experience.
Entrance Exam for Renewable Energy
The eligible candidates must take the entrance test and qualify for the respective entrance exam to get admission to the institutes of their choice. The most popular course for Renewable Energy in India is M.Tech and PG Diploma. However, some of the dual degree courses, as well as dual degree programs, are available.
For UG courses:
JEE Main : JEE Main stands for Joint Entrance Examination and it is one of the most popular and well-known national entrance exams in India. The eligibility criteria for UGC NET is that you need to be in a Master's program from a UGC-recognized College/University, be it 1st semester or last semester, there's no restriction on it. You need to check if the subject that you're doing your master's in, is actually a paper in the UGC NET exam. IGNOU is a well-recognised university and you are eligible to apply for UGC NET

Hello,
Yes, one can pursue MTech after successful completion of a BSc degree if the course is of 4-year long duration. But if one has completed BSc with a 3-year undergraduate degree then students need to complete their MSc. first before applying for MTech.
The eligibility for Mtech in renewable energy are required to secure at least 50% aggregate in B.E/B.Tech from a recognised institution.( For IIT and UPES, the minimum percentage required is 60% in Bachelor’s Degree).

In west bengal few colleges are offered for this course. BTech in renewable energy. You can get college in kolkata and outside of Kolkata but in West Bengal. I'll provide you those college name.
But for admission this college you have to clear WBJEE examination which is common entrance examination for West Bengal State in engineering and pharmacy colleges. Otherwise you can give JEE Mains examination and take admission in this college.
