B.Sc admission at Chandigarh University is now available. CUCET results are used to determine admission to the CU B.Sc program for session 2022 - 2023.

Bsc Computer Science is a three-year undergraduate computer science program. Candidates who have finished this course will have a lot of work chances in the IT area because the IT industry is quickly increasing all over the world. IT careers are available in both the commercial and public sectors for these graduates.

A minimum aggregate of 50% in Science subjects in Class 12 is required for admission to the BSc Computer Science programme. Colleges often offer this course on a full-time basis, although it is also available on a part-time basis. The majority of admissions are made on the basis of merit.

Yes, Chandigarh University, Chandigarh offers B. Tech Computer Science Engineering branch. It is a four years full-time undergraduation degree course in Computer Science Engineering branch.

The course fees is Rs. 8.56 Lakhs for four years. Admission is based on CUET entrance exam. Candidates must have passed 10+2 or Intermediate in science stream with relevant subjects with minimum 60 percentage of aggregate marks.

When will the class start for 1st year student in Chandigarh University for the session 2022-23

hoping you are doing good, as per your query first you have to give the Chandigarh University entrance exam (CUCET) it probably starts after JEE main exam, you can consider the opening timing for 1st year student after JEE main 2022 exam. In my case I gave my CUCET exam on 28th September 2021 and my class were start from 2nd October 2021.

The candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs 1000 through net banking, credit card, debit card, HDFC Gateway, and PAYU Gateway. Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test or also known as CUCET is a National level online entrance test conducted by NAAC A+ accredited Chandigarh University. The entrance exam of CUCET 2022 is held in two phases - CUCET I and CUCET II. The university has started the CUCET 2022 registration from December 23, 2021. Candidates can apply for CUCET registration 2022 till May 29. Keep an eye on the official website or the link below for the latest information.

  • Law School Admission Test(LSAT)- Pearson VUE administers this national examination on behalf of the Law School Admission Council. In most cases, this test is performed in April. Following is the syllabus for CUCET MSc Botany :-

Unit-1: Reproduction in Organisms

Reproduction, a characteristic feature of all organisms for continuation of species; modes of reproduction – binary fission, sporulation, budding, gemmule formation, fragmentation; vegetative propagation in plants.

Unit-2:  Reproduction in Flowering Plants

Flower structure; development of male and female gametophytes; pollination – types, agencies and examples; outbreeding devices; pollen-pistil interaction; double fertilization; post fertilization events – development of endosperm and embryo, development of seed and formation of fruit; special modes-apomixis, parthenocarpy, polyembryony; Significance of seed dispersal and fruit formation.

Unit-3: Human Reproduction

Male and female reproductive systems; microscopic anatomy of testis and ovary; gametogenesis – spermatogenesis and oogenesis; menstrual cycle; fertilisation, embryo development upto blastocyst formation, implantation; pregnancy and placenta formation (elementary idea); parturition (elementary idea); lactation (elementary idea).

Unit-4: Reproductive Health

Need for reproductive health and prevention of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs); birth control – need and methods, contraception and medical termination of pregnancy (MTP); amniocentesis; infertility and assisted reproductive echnologies – IVF, ZIFT, GIFT (elementary idea for general awareness).

Unit-5: Principles of Inheritance and Variation

Heredity and variation: Mendelian inheritance; deviations from Mendelism – incomplete dominance, co-dominance, multiple alleles and inheritance of blood groups, pleiotropy; elementary idea of polygenic inheritance; chromosome theory of inheritance; chromosomes and genes;  haemophilia, colour blindness; Mendelian disorders in humans –thalassemia; chromosomal disorders in humans; Down’s syndrome, Turner’s and Klinefelter’s syndromes.

Unit-6: Molecular Basis of Inheritance

Search for genetic material and DNA as genetic material; Structure of DNA and RNA; DNA packaging; DNA replication; Central dogma; transcription, genetic code, translation; gene expression and regulation – lac operon; genome and human and rice genome projects; DNA fingerprinting.

Unit-7: Evolution

Origin of life; biological evolution and evidences for biological evolution (paleontology, comparative anatomy, embryology and molecular evidences); Darwin’s contribution, modern synthetic theory of evolution; mechanism of evolution – variation (mutation and recombination) and natural selection with examples, types of natural selection; Gene flow and genetic drift; Hardy – Weinberg’s principle; adaptive radiation; human evolution.

Unit-8: Human Health and Diseases

Pathogens; parasites causing human diseases (malaria, dengue, chickengunia, filariasis, ascariasis, typhoid, pneumonia, common cold, amoebiasis, ring worm) and their control; Basic concepts of immunology – vaccines; cancer, HIV and AIDS; Adolescence – drug and alcohol abuse.

Unit-9: Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production

Improvement in food production: Plant breeding, tissue culture, single cell protein, Bio fortification, Apiculture and Animal husbandry.

Unit-10: Microbes in Human Welfare

In household food processing, industrial production, sewage treatment, energy generation and microbes as biocontrol agents and bio fertilizers. Antibiotics; production and judicious use.

Unit-11: Biotechnology – Principles and processes

Genetic Engineering (Recombinant DNA Technology).

Unit-12: Biotechnology and its Application

Application of biotechnology in health and agriculture: Human insulin and vaccine production, stem cell technology, gene therapy; genetically modified organisms – Bt crops; transgenic animals; biosafety issues, bio piracy and patents.

Unit-13: Organisms and Populations

Organisms and environment: Habitat and niche, population and ecological adaptations; population interactions – mutualism, competition, predation, parasitism; population attributes – growth, birth rate and death rate, age distribution.

Unit-14: Ecosystem

Ecosystems: Patterns, components; productivity and decomposition; energy flow; pyramids of number, biomass, energy; nutrient cycles (carbon and phosphorous); ecological succession; ecological services – carbon fixation, pollination, seed dispersal, oxygen release (in brief).

Unit-15: Biodiversity and its Conservation

Concept of biodiversity; patterns of biodiversity; importance of biodiversity; loss of biodiversity; biodiversity conservation; hotspots, endangered organisms, extinction, Red Data Book, biosphere reserves, national parks, sanctuaries and Ramsar sites.

Unit-16: Environmental Issues

Air pollution and its control; water pollution and its control; agrochemicals and their effects; solid waste management; radioactive waste management; greenhouse effect and climate change; ozone layer depletion; deforestation; any one case study as success story addressing environmental issue(s).

How long does it takes for the declaration of CUCET(chandigarh university) result?

Hello Aspirant,

For Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET), there are 2 phases and result is declared in about a month after you appear for any of the phase. Like for Phase 1 applications are going on and will continues till May 29th 2022 so you can register anytime and appear for Phase 1, also note that you can appear for maximum of two attempts per phase not more than 2.

Phase 2 will get started from June 2022 and will continues till end of admission so you can appear anytime for CUCET.

The CUCET test will be used for admissions cum scholarship purpose


For B.E, B.Pharmacy, MBA, Integrated Law programs (B.A+LLB, BBA+LLB, BCom+LLB) and B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture, CUCET will be mandatory with an exception for those who secure more than 90% marks in qualifying examination or upto 50000 rank in JEE and it will act as an entrance test only.

But for the rest of the courses CUCET will act as scholarship.
