IMU CET is a part of the Indian Maritime University (IMU) and it is an entrance exam for admission to the IMU. It is conducted annually by IMU in association with ICAI, AIEEE and AIPMT.
IMU CET exam eligibility is the minimum requirement to appear for IMU CET exam. The candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (or equivalent) in the qualifying examination.
Samudra Institute of Maritime Studies (SIMS) is a maritime college in Kerala, India. It was established in the year 2001 by Samudra Group of Institutions. The institute is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. It offers undergraduate degree courses in Marine Engineering and Maritime Administration & Management as well as postgraduate diploma programs in Shipping Operations Management and Logistics.
The cutoff rank varies every as it depends on various factors like number of candidates appeared and difficulty level of the exam but it lies around 2000 for general candidates in BSc course.

IMU CET (Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test) is conducted by IMU every year for colleges offering UG and PG courses.
The minimum eligibility criteria is to have Physics Chemistry and Mathematics as subject combination in class 12th with minimum average of 60% and English as a compulsory subject. The minimum aggregate marks should be 50%.
The cutoff for the Marine engineering college used to be under 200. As you have 5135, you have very low chance of getting your admission into it.

No IMUCET is only conducted once in a year by Indian Maritime University for admissions in affiliated institutes of IMU / other DGS approved Marine Training Institutes (MTIs).
All those candidates who fulfil the given eligibility criteria are eligible to appear for IMUCET.

Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMUCET) is a national level entrance exam for taking admission in ship related courses.
For the eligibility criteria,
Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with minimum of 50% marks from recognized universities and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th / UG Degree.

So, with regard of you're query. you can able to do this ocean engineering or marine engineering course on clearing the entrance examination of IMU CET and JEE advance. In IIT's there are only minimum number of colleges providing this course. one of the college is IIT MADRAS. through IMU you can able to get seat in marine, ocean engineering and naval architecture.
