i had got 62194 rank in kcet can i get btech in cs in top college

kumardurgesh1802 2nd Sep, 2024

Hello there,

With a KCET rank of 62,194, getting admission to a top college for B.Tech in Computer Science may be challenging. However, you might still have options in some of the lesser-known or newer engineering colleges in Karnataka.

Possible Options:

  1. Newer or Lesser-Known Engineering Colleges:

Colleges: Look into newer or less popular engineering colleges that still offer a B.Tech in Computer Science. These colleges might have more flexibility in their admission cutoffs.

  2. Private Engineering Colleges:

Examples: Private institutions might have varying cutoffs and could offer you a chance to pursue B.Tech in Computer Science. Some examples include:

    • JSS Academy of Technical Education, Bangalore
    • R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore (for lower branches)
    • PES University, Bangalore (for certain branches)

  3. Consider Alternate Branches:

If you're open to other branches within engineering, you might have better chances of getting into a more established college.

G PAVAN KUMAR 12th Sep, 2024

Yes, you can still participate in the KCET counselling further grounds even if they are allotted seats. Applicants allotted seats can opt for float or sliding option from the login. If you want to get a seat in the same college but a different course then you can choose the slides option.

Candidates who qualified in the entrance exam and are participating in the counselling round can change KCET option entry 2024 online at the official website: kea.kar.nic.in. They need to login by using their registration number to change their KCET

Candidates can enter as many KCET 2024 options as they wish through the KEA web portal on their arrangement. It is recommended that candidates take a printout of the KCET 2024 option entry or filled choices in each round

Yes, you can reorder your options after the KCET First Round Seat Allotment. This usually happens before the KCET second round counselling

Sir I have got kcet rank 108556 and my cast is 3B can I get Dr Ms sheshagiri college of engineering belgaum for the branch chemical engineering

kumardurgesh1802 2nd Sep, 2024

Hello there,

With a KCET rank of 108,556 and belonging to the 3B category, it is unlikely that you will secure a seat in Dr. M.S. Sheshagiri College of Engineering and Technology, Belgaum, for the Chemical Engineering branch.

Dr. M.S. Sheshagiri College is known for its competitive admissions, and Chemical Engineering is typically a sought-after branch. The cut-offs for such branches are usually higher, especially in established institutions like Dr. M.S. Sheshagiri College.

However, it’s always good to check the latest cut-off trends and availability through the official KCET counseling process, as there might be changes or updates based on the current year's admissions and seat availability. Additionally, consider exploring other engineering colleges or branches where the cut-off might align better with your rank.
