i have written kcet and i got 166563 i will het government college

Afreen 30th May, 2025

To determine your chances of getting a government college through KCET, let's look at the KCET rank calculation and previous year's cutoff trends.

KCET rank is calculated based on both KCET scores and PU (PU PCM aggregate) scores. The rank formula is:

KCET Rank = (300 - KCET PCM aggregate) + (300 - PU PCM aggregate)

With your KCET rank being 166563, it's challenging to predict your chances without knowing the specific cutoff trends for the current year and the colleges you're interested in.

However, here are some general steps you can take:

1. Check the official KEAM counseling website for updates on seat allocation and counseling schedules.

2. Look up previous year's cutoff ranks for government colleges in Karnataka.

3. Consider factors like category (General, OBC, SC/ST, etc.) and region-specific colleges.

If you'd like more specific guidance or help with calculating your chances, please provide:

1. Your KCET score

2. Your PU PCM aggregate score

3. Your category (if applicable)

This will help me provide a more tailored response.

To get AI engineering in top colleges of Karnataka 17000 rank in kcet is sufficient. And give list of Ai top engineering colleges in Karnataka

Rithwik Kumar Sahu 9th Aug, 2025

With a KCET rank of 17,000, getting AI or AI&ML in the very top-tier Karnataka colleges like RVCE, BMSCE, MSRIT will be difficult under the general category, as their AI branches usually close within the top 6–8K ranks. However, you have a realistic shot at mid-to-upper tier colleges that still have good placements in AI-related streams.

Top colleges in Karnataka offering AI/AI&ML where 17K rank might work (general category chances vary):

  • SJCE Mysuru

  • BMS Institute of Technology & Management (BMSIT) – maybe in later rounds

  • JSS Academy of Technical Education, Bengaluru

  • Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) – possible in later rounds

  • Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT)

  • Reva University

  • CMR Institute of Technology

  • New Horizon College of Engineering

  • Acharya Institute of Technology

If you belong to a reserved category, your chances for higher-ranked colleges improve significantly. For general category, aim for these good mid-tier ones, and keep backups ready for round 2 and casual vacancy rounds.

Hello sir I scored 99.63 percentile and my rank 5764 - general catetory ( Karntaka) do i get NIT surthakal, warrangl, tirchy CSE ur suggestion please , secured KCET 165 rank and VITEE rank 605 and waiting for JEE adv results and BITSAT,

gopi 30th May, 2025

Hello Raghav! Well done on your accomplishment. I think you have the following options based on your ranks:

  1. JEE Main Rank 5764 (General; Karnataka): CSE at NIT Trichy or Warangal is difficult at this rank in General. The good news is that you can get into NIT Surathkal CSE through Home State quota. Surathkal is one of the best NITs for CSE and is at par with Trichy and Warangal in terms of placement.
  2. KCET Rank 165 : This is a good rank. You should be able to get CSE in any of the top colleges in Karnataka - RVCE, BMSCE, or MSRIT. These colleges also have good placements and reputations.
  3. VITEEE Rank 605: With this rank you can easily get CSE at VIT Vellore (including preferred categories). But, NIT Surathkal and top KCET colleges (RVCE, BMSCE, MSRIT) have generally more reputation than VIT.
  4. JEE Advanced and BITSAT : If you do well in JEE Advanced, then old IITs or IIT-Hyderabad would be worth targeting. BITS Pilani CSE is also a very good option, it is as good as old NITs and better than some IITs.

I will search for college my kcet rank is 86000

Sujal Singh 30th May, 2025

With a KCET rank of 86,000, you have a good chance to find a college, especially in less competitive branches or private colleges. It’s important to research colleges that accept your rank in your preferred course and location. Checking official counseling websites and college cutoffs will help you choose wisely. Don’t hesitate to explore options beyond top-tier colleges, as many institutes offer quality education and opportunities for growth. Planning early and keeping track of counseling dates will make the process smoother.

can i get engineering seat in Bangalore for 80k ranking in kcet

Akansha Sharma 1st Jun, 2025

With an 80,000 rank in KCET, getting an engineering seat in Bangalore government colleges is very difficult because competition is high and ranks needed are usually much better. However, you may get a seat in some private engineering colleges in Bangalore through management or quota seats. It's important to attend counselling, fill your choices wisely, and also consider nearby cities or private colleges where seats might be available for your rank.
