I got 85k ran in kcet can i get cse in sahyadri college Mangalore

kumardurgesh1802 16th Sep, 2024

Hello student,

With an 85,000 rank in KCET , securing a seat in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Mangalore may be challenging but not impossible. Here's a breakdown:

Key Factors:

  1. Previous Year Cutoffs:

    • In recent years, the cutoff rank for CSE at Sahyadri College for the general category has typically been around 30,000 to 50,000 .
    • With an 85k rank, getting CSE in the general merit category might be difficult.

  2. Chances Improve with:

    • Reserved Category: If you belong to a reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), the cutoff for CSE might be higher, improving your chances.

    • Management Quota: You could consider applying through the management quota , though this would come with higher fees.

  3. Alternative Options:

    • Other Branches: If you're open to switching to less competitive branches like Information Science , Mechanical , or Electronics , your chances will improve.

    • Other Colleges: You can also explore other private engineering colleges in Karnataka with a more flexible cutoff for CSE.

Getting CSE at Sahyadri College with an 85,000 KCET rank in the general category is tough, but you might have a chance through reserved categories or in later rounds. You may also explore alternative branches or management quota seats if needed.

i have got 52446 rank in kcet can i get free seat in any engineering college

kumardurgesh1802 16th Sep, 2024

Hello student,

With a 52,446 rank in KCET , you may be able to secure a seat in engineering colleges , but getting a free seat (which generally refers to government or highly subsidized seats) will depend on several factors, including:

Key Factors Affecting Free Seat Eligibility:

  1. Category Reservation:

If you belong to SC/ST/OBC or other reserved categories , your chances of getting a free or highly subsidized seat in a government or government-aided college increase. These categories typically have higher cutoffs for free seats.

  2. Type of College:

    • Government Colleges: Getting a free seat in top government engineering colleges might be tough with a 52k rank, but lower-tier government colleges or government-aided private colleges could be possible.

    • Private Colleges: Some private colleges offer scholarships or fee concessions based on merit or financial background, but they may not provide fully free seats.

  3. Branches Available:

While getting high-demand branches like CSE , ECE , or Mechanical in top colleges might be challenging, you could secure less competitive branches (like Civil , Metallurgical , or Biotechnology ) in government or private colleges with subsidies.

    Possible Colleges:

  • Government-Aided Colleges: Check for government-aided institutions that might offer seats at lower tuition rates.

  • Private Colleges with Scholarships: Institutions like Acharya Institute , RNSIT , BMSIT , and others may have scholarship programs that can reduce fees significantly.

    Next Steps:
  1. Participate in Counseling: Make sure to attend all rounds of KCET counseling, as cutoffs fluctuate, and you may get a seat in later rounds.

  2. Check Scholarship Options: Explore scholarship programs or fee concessions offered by private institutions.

At a rank of 52,446 in KCET, securing a free seat in a government college might be difficult unless you belong to a reserved category . However, you can explore private colleges with fee waivers, government-aided colleges, or less competitive branches for better chances.

will i get my kcet results if i hace not still completed my supplement exam of puc

Nitin Kumar 3rd Jun, 2024

No, you will not get your KCET results yet if you haven't completed your supplementary exam for PUC (Pre-University Course).

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) typically releases KCET results only after considering both:

  • Marks obtained in the KCET exam itself.
  • Marks obtained in the Class 12 PUC exam (or equivalent).

Since you haven't completed your PUC exams with the supplementary exam, your eligibility for the final ranking and seat allocation in KCET counselling might be on hold.KEA might withhold your KCET results until they receive your final PUC marks after the supplementary exam.

I have got 46k in kcet will i get veternary seat in Bangalore for sc category?

kumardurgesh1802 16th Sep, 2024

Hello student,

With a 46,000 rank in KCET and belonging to the SC category , you have a fair chance of securing a veterinary seat in Bangalore , but it depends on the competition, seat availability, and specific cutoffs for that year. Here's an overview:

Key Points:

  1. Veterinary Colleges in Bangalore:

    • The main veterinary college in Bangalore is KVAFSU (Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University) in Hebbal.

    • Veterinary seats are highly competitive, but being from the SC category improves your chances significantly as there are reserved seats for different categories.

  2. Previous Cutoffs:

    • For SC category , the cutoff ranks for veterinary seats tend to be much higher than for the general category, often going up to 40,000-50,000 or even higher in some cases.

    • In recent years, students with ranks between 35,000 to 50,000 in the SC category have secured veterinary seats.

  3. Counseling Rounds:

    • Your chances may improve in the later rounds of counseling as some students withdraw or switch branches, opening up seats.

With a 46k KCET rank and being in the SC category , you have a reasonable chance of getting a veterinary seat in Bangalore, particularly in later counseling rounds . Keep track of counseling updates and be ready for subsequent rounds.

Key Factors:

  1. Category Reservation:
    • If you belong to a reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) , your chances of getting a government seat for B.Sc. Nursing increase as the cutoff ranks are generally higher for these categories.

  2. Government Colleges:

my kcet marks is 54/141 and pcm marks is 239/300 what will be my rank of kcet..?

kumardurgesh1802 30th Oct, 2024

Hello Aditya,

To estimate your rank in the KCET exam, you can use the following method, although the exact rank can vary based on overall performance and the number of candidates.

Rank Estimation:

  1. Total Marks Calculation :

    • KCET Total Marks: 141
    • Your Score: 54
    • Percentage: (54/141)×100≈38.3%(54/141) \times 100 \approx 38.3\%(54/141)×100≈38.3%

  2. PCM Marks Calculation :

    • PCM Total Marks: 300
    • Your Score: 239
    • Percentage: (239/300)×100≈79.67%(239/300) \times 100 \approx 79.67\%(239/300)×100≈79.67%

  3. General Rank Estimation :

    • Typically, ranks are determined by comparing your score with other candidates.
    • If you have a higher percentage, your rank will be lower (as in a better rank).

      Approximate Rank:
  • Given the scores, if we assume a similar distribution as in previous years, a score of around 54 in KCET might place you somewhere between 45,000 to 60,000 . However, this is a rough estimate and can vary.

    Recommendation:

  • Keep an eye on official announcements from the KCET organizing body for the exact rank list, as they will provide the official ranks based on the overall performance of all candidates.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

in praticals i got 156 and general kcet ranking is 20k i m i eligible for forestry, food technology, horticulture in 5gese three in which can i get seat

kumardurgesh1802 30th Oct, 2024

Hello there,

With a KCET general ranking of 20,000 and a practical score of 156 , your eligibility for courses like Forestry, Food Technology, and Horticulture can vary depending on the specific college's cutoff for these programs. Here’s a breakdown of your prospects:

Eligibility and Admission Chances:

  1. Forestry : Generally has lower cutoffs compared to engineering courses. With your ranking, you may have a chance at some colleges, especially if they have a rural or other reservations applicable to you.

  2. Food Technology : This field is increasingly popular, and cutoffs can be competitive. However, some colleges may still accept students with your rank, particularly those with good placement records.

  3. Horticulture : Similar to Forestry, Horticulture can have more lenient cutoffs. Your rank should allow you to apply to several colleges offering this course.

    Recommendations:

  • Research College Cutoffs : Check the previous year's cutoff ranks for these courses in various colleges. This will give you a clearer picture of where you might secure a seat.

  • Counseling Process : Participate actively in the counseling process and choose these branches, keeping in mind your interests and career goals.

With your KCET ranking and practical scores, you have reasonable chances of getting into Forestry and possibly Horticulture . For Food Technology , it might depend more on the specific college's cutoff. Ensure to stay updated with counseling details and college-specific requirements.

my marks in kCET pcb is 56 which course would I get a government seat and what would be my rank in biology section

kumardurgesh1802 30th Oct, 2024

Hello there,

With a score of 56 in the KCET PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) examination, here’s what you can expect regarding potential courses and your likely rank:

Expected Rank:

  • Based on previous years' data, a score of 56 might place you in the range of 60,000 to 80,000 in the overall KCET ranking. However, this can vary based on the overall performance of candidates in the year you appeared.

    Potential Courses:
  1. B.Sc. in Agriculture : You might be eligible for admission to this course, especially if you apply under any applicable reservations.

  2. B.Sc. Nursing : Some nursing colleges may still offer seats based on your score, though it depends on the specific college cutoffs.

  3. B.Sc. in Biology or related fields : You can explore options in B.Sc. programs that have less stringent cutoffs compared to professional courses.

    Admission Factors:
  • Reservation Categories : If you belong to any reserved category, this may improve your chances of getting a seat in your preferred course.

  • College Cutoffs : Always check the latest cutoff trends for the specific colleges you are interested in, as they change yearly based on the number of applicants and available seats.

    Conclusion:

While your score may limit your options in highly competitive fields like medicine or veterinary sciences, there are still possibilities in agriculture, nursing, or basic science courses. Keep an eye on the counseling process to explore your options fully!
