YES, You can do automobile and any other Engineering course in any branch even after 8 years gap after your class 12th. This is because there is no age limit criteria for the completion of this course, so you ca do this course even after 8 years long gap in it.
Eligibility Criteria for BE Automobile Engineering
Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a 50% aggregate score in Final exams. There is no specific age limit . BE Automobile Engineering admission is done either on a merit basis or by an entrance exam basis.
Furthermore, you cannot get admission in BE/B.Tech in Automobile Engineering course in any of the NIT's/.GFTI/IIIT as for this you have to give JEE mains examination and you are not eligible to give JEE mains examination after 8 long years. So, in order to get admission to this course, you have to get admission in any private engineering colleges.
