i have given compartment exam in music, and improvement exam in 4 main subject except music, now while getting admission in college they ask me to give total marks in 500, but i have given improvement for 400 marks, which subject marks should i add in 400 to make it 500
Improvement exams can only be given by passed out students. You can use any of your result for applying in colleges i.e. improved result or one that you got earlier. If you have given exam in 4 subject then you have to mention marks of music as 5 subject which you have got in your compartment examination that will sum up to 500 marks.
Hope this will help
Thank you

In CBSE class 12th i failed in maths which was my main subject but passed in 6th subject i.e. Physical Education so my overall result is PASS am i eligible for B.A Degree ?
Hello,
For few board of education such as CBSE , if one fails in any one of their subjects whether it is main or extra then he/she will be regraded to be a fail. Every board takes the re-exam on the given time. This is called supplementary/compartment exam. After giving this exam one can improve his/her marks in that subject.
As per CBSE Examination rules, a student is declared pass if he passes in English and 4 other subjects. So, if you fail in 2 subjects then you will be considered failed and need to appear for compartment exams. Hence you will not be eligible for admission to undergraduate courses in any university. But don't worry give your best to improve your marks this time
Hope your query is resolved.
Good luck.

so you want to take admission for the course B.com (//B.com) and you got compartment , it is not possible to take admission in any of the college if you are passed in your 10+2 or having compartment any of the core subject , being a student of commerce stream you better know account stands as core subject to further pursue any of the course in stream of commerce.
you first need to clear your compartment then only you would be eligible to take admission

if i take 6 subjects in Class 12 and fail in 1 subject (say math). But i passed overall in marksheet. So which exam i have to give Compartment or improvement exam to pass in the failed subject? Or is it only for students who failed overall in marksheet?
In order to successfully complete the Class 12 CBSE board exams, students must achieve a minimum of 33% passing marks in each of the 5 subjects. If a student is enrolled in more than 5 subjects and fails in the 6th subject, they have the option to take the CBSE 12th supplementary exam specifically for that subject. Regardless of whether they choose to appear for the supplementary exam or not, they will still be declared as having passed the exams.

I am Class 12 pcmb student with total 6 subjects. I passed in 5 subjects(English, Physics, Chemistry,Biology, Painting). But failed in Maths. My marksheet says i passed. So can i give Compartment exam in math this year as i want to study B.tech? .Or i have to give improvement exam next year?
Hello student as 5 subjects are enough to get passed in class 12 as 6th subject is optional subject. If you want to appear in compartment examination and get passed in Mathematics subject sure you can appear in the compartment examination.
If you're willing to pursue engineering from top engineering colleges like NIT's IIITs CFTIs IITS and many others college you need to appear in jee main entrance examination.
Eligibility - Candidates must Candidates must passed or appearing class 12 with physics chemistry and mathematics with minimum 75 percent marks aggregate from a recognized board.

Is improvement marksheet different from original marksheet in cbse class 12th.
Hi student,
Yes, improvement marksheet different from original marksheet for CBSE class 12th. There is a small tag with improvement exam written on the top of marksheet. It is written like this "*IMPROVED". This shows that you have given improvement and not passed 12th in one go.
Feel free to ask doubts in the Comment Section.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!
according to new selection criterion Am i eligible for getting nit college through jee main if my marks are as follows in cbse class 12th english 92 physics 66 chemistry 67 maths 64 physical education 82 informatics practices 77
As per the latest information from JAB, the board criteria for 75% is removed. Now, a candidate is not required to score an aggregate of at least 75% in his/her respective board exams and he can apply for admission to any of the NITs/IITs/IIITs on the basis of his/her JEE marks.
Hope it helps.
