now coming to your question,as per the website of BMSIT there is no course for chemical engineering,but this college provides course in chemisrtry.By seeing the reviews from web i got a very averege response from the student of this department.so as per my suggestion i would say to look for some otherr branches in the same college.

Both the colleges have same fees and are quite affordable.

The placements for Cs branch in notra is around 65-70 percent only and the average package being around 3-4 lakhs per annum.

For chemical branch in Haldia the placements are not that good and the average package will be around 3 lakhs Per annum.

It also depends on your interest as these two branch are quite different from one another.

Engineering branches are a very important decision and if you dislike them you'll end up living four most important years of your life in hating what you are doing every day. This will be a very exhausting experience and I would not recommend this. If you do not like something and you already know it then why are you going to join such a thing.

I suggest if you are forced to do this, then you talk to your parents, make them understand that you do not like this and wanted to do something else. Choose other branches like Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science or information technology.

You will not find any bit of chemistry in these branches.

The cut offs for a college depends on the difficulty of paper and number of intakes. There is no apprefiable change in cut offs. Hence I provide you with cut offs of chemical engineering for different categories -

You have not mentioned your category to which you belong to.Based on 2018 cut off trends you may get seat in Chemical engineering if you belong to any of SC or ST or BC-E category.As the cut off for SC- was 67883 ST was 71425 BC-E was 43925.And the cut off ranks for other categories are below the rank you have secured.However, cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease slightly.So hope for the best.

VIT Pune is better than Sinhgad,Vadgaon for the Chemical branch but one thing for sure,you will have to pay much more for VIT than Sinhgad.

In Sinhgad, Vadgaon you can get a seat at a much cheaper rate than VIT and most importantly it will be worth the amount you will be paying.

The charges for Sinhgad will be almost one-fourth of VIT.

So, if you can pay a larger amount, then you should definitely join VIT or else Sinhgad is a nice option too in a very cheap rate.

Also keep in mind, all the placements comes mainly for CSE. Hence I would suggest you to join CSE in Sinhgad, Vadgaon.
