If I get permanent rejection in NDA, then can I give CDS exam for army?
Dear aspirant !
Hope you are doing great ! CDS and nda both are totally different things ,if you get permanent rejection in nda then you don't need to take any kind of stress , firstly work on your fitness or medical health due to which you got reject in nda ,and then immediately start preparing for CDS OTA ,for that complete your graduation first and then apply and please consult to a doctor so that these problems of medical health would not become barrier in your path of success.

So you can apply for CDSE to join IMA when you are in the final year of the qualifying examination. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for IMA, INA, AFA and OTA (Men). The age must be in between 19 to 24 years to select IMA. You must be a Citizen of India or Subject of Bhutan or Subject of Nepal or Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1962, with the intention to permanently settle in India or Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka & East African Countries with the intention to permanently settle in India. Candidates who wish to join in INA or AFA must have passed Bacehlor's Degree in Engineering. Female candidates are eligible to apply for OTA (Women). While filling the CDS application you indicate the priority of the wing (for male candidates). Female candidates can only select OTA (women) while filling the application form. Sir I have completed 10+2 humanities(arts) , and I am currently persuing B.A., can I apply for cds IMA plz tell??
Hello, I hope you are doing well
Yes a humanities stream student can apply for Combined Defense Service(CDS) Exam. The eligibility criteria to give CDS exam is graduation, so it doesn't matter from which college and by which subject you had done your graduation. So, even if you had done your 12 standard in humanities stream and now you are pursuing B.A. it doesn't matter.
The eligibility criteria for CDS is given below:
- Candidates must be settled in India permanently
- Candidates must be a graduate or at least in their final year/semester.
- The minimum age limit is 19 years
- Women candidates are eligible to apply only for OTA.
- B. Tech graduates can apply for IMA, INA AFA also.
- Candidates must meet the physical standards
For particularly IMA, the criteria is males with Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. So, you can appear for the exam. Good Luck for your preparations.

Sir as the final marks is 256+ for IMA through CDS. So my question is that whether that marks is out of 300 or out off the total marks including SSB and what is the qualifying marks of SSB interview. How is the marks calculated for making the merit list could you please explain me.
Hello,
The merit list that is published after the SSB highlighting the marks are the total marks the candidate has secured after the OTA Examination + Marks secured in SSB Interview.
• SSB Marking System-
------There Are Three Assessors, Wherein Each Will Assess From 300 Marks I.E. Medical Test, GTO (Group Task) And Personal Interview (PI). One has to Score Minimum 90 From Each Assessor. The total marks of SSB Is 900. It Is Further Divided Into 4 Parts ( Psychology, GTO, Interview And Conference Round) I.E 900/4= 225 Marks for each Test Phase. Out Of This 225 marks, You need to get Minimum 90 marks to get A "Yes" from either of the assessors and getting less than 90 marks simply means "No".
------ During First, 4 Days of SSB interview Includes Screening, Psychological Tests, GTO Tasks And Personal Interview. In this way, The minimum marks you would be required to pass Is 90*3= 270 marks. For Example -
1) One Candidate Gets 80 marks In Interview Round, 70 In GTO Round And 75 In Psychology. The Total Comes To 225 marks.
2) Another candidate gets a total of 250 out of minimum of 270 marks required. Thus, Now Comes The Importance of Conference Round. In the event that Your Marks Are More Than 240, Conference round would decide whether you would be recommended or not.
---- Also I must tell you that there isn't any minimum cut off for SSB interview process.

if I have given this attempt in NDA and got selected and suppose Im now serving in army because I am not from a science background so after some time can I also give afcat or cds to get into Navy or airforce and this whole time I will be serving in army as well so my question is can I do this??
Hi aspirant,
It would not be possible for you to get transferred from Indian army to air force or Navy even after applying for AFCAT or Navy ssr because both of them has physics and mathematics as basic requirement in +2 level. Only NDA gives you an opportunity to join the armed forces directly even you are not from science background.
Hope it helps!!
