my son got 90.4 percentile in jee mains 1 phase, and 87.4 percentile in AEEE24 1 phase,is there any chance that I can seat in coimbatore Amrita csc branch and what are my other chances please explain, thankyou
Hello sir,
Hope you are doing great.
So according to your question, first of all, Amritha University will only accept AEEE, and the cutoff for the CSE course is 96 to 99 percentile. As he got 87.4 percentile, he might not get the seat in CSE.
However, he also secured 90.4 percentile in JEE Mains, which is a very good score, and he can secure more in the second phase, there are very high probabilities for that. So, if he manage to score between 97 to 99 in JEE Phase 2, then he will definitely get IIT or NIT.
So, don't loose hope and don't let him loose the hope.
Thank you!
my son got 90.4 percentile in jee (mains) 1phase and 87.4 in AEEE24 exam ,can I get csc seat in coimbatore Amrita campus sir, what are the possibility that I have sir category is general (male)
Hi
hope you doing well
He has a reasonable chance of securing a seat in the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) program at the Coimbatore campus of Amrita University with scoring 90.4 percentile in JEE Mains and 87.4 percentile in the AEEE 2024 exam . Here are some points to consider:
Considering Jee mains score:
Amrita University does accept JEE Main scores, and a 90.4 percentile is competitive for many engineering branches, including CSE. However, CSE is a popular branch, so the cutoffs can be relatively high.
Considering AEEE score:
The AEEE score is also a valid criterion for admission. With 87.4 percentile, he may also qualify for CSE, but it depends on the specific cutoffs for this year.
The cutoffs for CSE in previous years at Amrita Coimbatore have varied. Generally, the cutoff tends to be lower for other engineering branches compared to CSE. Your son’s scores suggest he is within a competitive range, but it is crucial to check the previous years' cutoffs for both JEE Main and AEEE to get an accurate picture.
Since he belongs to the General category , there will be competition from other applicants in this category. However, the university often considers a combination of scores from both JEE Main and AEEE.
You can go to many counselling processes like Josaa or state level counselling for more option.

do I have a chance of getting admission in b tech csc as I have scored 77.9 percentile in jee mains.
Hello Student ,
With 77.9 percentile in JEE Main session 1 considering you as a general category candidate you have tough chances to get admission through JoSAA counselling in institutions like NITs, IIITs and GFTIs . But you can surely try for other state counselling where JEE Main score is acceptable and in some private universities as well .

Because All India Rank depends on the number of students who has given the exam, percentile in each subject and so many other factors.
But if we check your chances in this range of rank, you might have a chance to get admission into NITs, IIITs for the CS branch.

With an approximate 80 percentile in JEE Main 2024, you might have a chance at getting admission to Computer Science (CSE) under the OBC category at some institutions. However, top-tier colleges, especially those in Hyderabad, often have higher cutoffs. For instance, some institutes like NIT Warangal or IIIT Hyderabad typically have closing ranks above 90 percentile for CSE in the OBC category. Keep an eye on counseling updates and consider applying to a variety of colleges based on the final rank list.
